“Hello, traveler! Welcome! Have a great adventure!”
Recently, the game Genshin Impact has become a hot topic of conversation among gamers. Launched by Hoyoverse on September 28th, 2020, Genshin Impact has become a popular game because it has exciting gameplay, captivating visuals, a fun story, magnificent music, and is equipped with whole complete dubbing in the story. This game can also be played across platforms, both mobile, console, and PC. Obviously, this only enlarges the player community because it brings together various platforms.
Well, for those of you who have just played it or have played it for a long time, but find it difficult to rank up the Adventure Rank (AR), maybe you can try following some of the following guides that I did myself. With these tips, you can accelerate your adventure to AR 30+ in less than 3 days, while still considering rest times, of course. Don’t play it 72 hours straight! Please take very good care of yourself.
Warning: before we start any of the tips, there is one important thing that you should know first, so you won’t regret it. DO NOT USE FRAGILE RESINS UNDER AR 45!! Be patient and enjoy the adventure, do co-op if it’s getting harder.
Oh, one more thing, these tips are for free-to-play (F2P) gamers, so they’re perfect for those of you who don’t spend any money at all while playing this game. Read more here and good luck!
1. Don’t make ten direct wishes, do it just one by one
The guarantee to get at least one character or weapon above 4 stars out of ten times while wishing, is the same probability as making one wish only. If you do one at a time and have got a character or weapon of 4 stars and above, you can stop awhile and continue your adventure. Remember, this tip is for F2Ps. If you’re a spender, feel free to pull wishes as you like.
2. Always take time to talk to non-player characters (NPCs)
At the beginning of the game, once you have access to the cathedral, talk to the nun named Victoria. Take the option of asking to be shown a place. You will be given a rare 4-star artifact (Bloodstained Chevalier’s Goblet from the Bloodstained Chivalry set) which will drastically increase your character’s status. The status of the goblet will be random, tho. Wish you the best of luck!
Also, try to talk to other NPCs and choose their various conversation options. You will get various useful items. Inside the conversation box of the right options, you will see a “treasure chest” logo. Click on that option. So, do not abandon NPCs. 3. Don’t ignore the various items and some things you find during your adventure
Any items you see on the way, even including the most common sweet flowers, will be useful for completing certain quests or missions in the future. Don’t be lazy to just click, collect them. Here are some important things you shouldn’t overlook when you’re on an adventure:
- You have to take ore or quarry (iron chunk, white iron chunk, crystal chunk, cast lapis, noctillucous jade, magical crystal chunk).
- You have to kill pigs, birds, and squirrels. The meat is useful for cooking and completing quests.
- Fruits and vegetables are useful for cooking. Food is one of the most important items to help you survive and raise your chars’ stats.
- Flowers and seeds are also important. Not only for cooking ingredients or completing certain quests, but certain flowers are also a condition for ascending your character to a higher level.
- Fast-moving animals, such as frogs, lizards, butterflies, fireflies, glow beetles. Some items are needed for completing quests, crafting, or building your character.
- Treasure chests — no matter what kind — were also essential. In addition to containing items that can strengthen your character or weapon, opening chests will help increase your adventure rank.
- The spirit of Seelie, the hovering ghost that will lead you to the treasure chest. Their number is limited and they will not respawn. Completing leading all the seelies to their respective statues will earn you a reward.
There are many other types of items that you should not ignore. Anyway, if something shines and you can click investigate or the item name appears, take it. What about the oculi (geoculus and anemoculus)? We will discuss this in the next point!
4. Don’t be in a hurry to collect oculi (anemoculus and geoculus) every time you see it, you have to take notes so you don’t miss any single one of it

To make it easier to mark the oculi that you have taken, you can click on the oculi on the interactive map and click mark as found. However, to do so, you must first log in to the map. It’s easy!
With this, you can get all the oculi easier and quicker. A complete collection of oculi is also required to complete certain quests with fantastic rewards. In addition to increasing your stamina, this makes it easier for you to explore.
You can also use this map to find seelie spirits that you haven’t guided, enemies or monsters you need to fight to get certain items/drops or the location of certain items to complete quests. Just try to roam freely with the help of this map.
5. Don’t be too wasteful in using various important items and Mora in Genshin Impact
One of them is an experience-enhancing book to level up because the number is very limited. Do not carelessly spend it on the initial characters you use. Make sure you save these items for tier S or A characters, which you will get through wishes or quests. This concept also applies to Mora, the currency in Genshin Impact, and sigils. Do not be wasteful by buying something without an important purpose.

- Tier SS+: Ayaka, Bennett, Ganyu, Childe/Tartaglia, HuTao, Kazuha, Raiden Shogun, Xingqiu, Zhongli;
- Tier SS: Albedo, Ayato, Diona, Eula, Itto, Mona, Sara, Shenhe, Sucrose, Venti, Xiangling, Xiao, YunJin;
- Tier S: Beidou, Diluc, Fischl, Gorou, Jean, Klee, Kokomi, Rosaria, Yae Miko, Yoimiya;
- Tier A: Barbara, Kaeya, Keqing, Ningguang, Noelle, Qiqi, Sayu, Thoma, Xinyan, Yanfei;
- Tier B: Aloy, Chongyun, Lisa, Razor, Traveler (electro);
- Tier C: Amber, Traveler (Anemo), Traveler (Geo).
6. Get Paimon as a pet that will follow you everywhere
At the corner end of the world map that is already open to you (delimited by a red line), your screen will turn reddish if you cross it and Paimon will appear to remind you to return to the area that is still active. Then, he will disappear once you’ve run back to the active area. Well, see how to make Paimon not disappear and still exist as your pet:
- Go to the final edge of the active world map area, which is bounded by the red line.
- The moment before Paimon appeared, as the screen turned red, stood still.
Unplug your internet connection and immediately run towards areas that are still prohibited. - Paimon will appear and on your screen, a reconnecting to server warning will appear.
- When the yellow ‘reconnecting’ circle appears, immediately turn on your internet connection again, so you are not kicked out of the game.
- Voila, Paimon is still around and follows you everywhere! Now adventuring without co-op mode you are not alone anymore when fighting your enemies.
There are important notes that you need to pay attention to about making Paimon a pet:
- Paimon will disappear again if you enter any room (not in the open air). So, you have to repeat the steps above to bring up Paimon again.
- Paimon will seem like she disappeared when you teleport, even though he was left in the last place before teleporting. She will come after you. It can take up to 5 minutes for her to come back to you, depending on how far you left him.
- If you aim at the target with the archers in Genshin Impact, Paimon will cover and move according to your target mark. So, consider again making Paimon a pet, especially for those of you who like archery. This will make it difficult for you on various quests.
7. As much as possible, level up artifacts only purple (4 stars) or yellow (5 stars)
Leveling up artifacts is important for strengthening your character. However, if you’ve already spent an artifact to level up the blue (3-star) artifact and below, you’ll be disappointed that it’s hard to raise 4-star artifacts and above that, you’ll get next. Don’t worry, at some point in the game, especially when your adventure rank starts to enter 20, you will find it easier to get 4-star artifacts.
8. Don’t rush to raise your world level, beat all the bosses before moving on to the next level
You need to get items and artifacts from them. So, collect it first while the level of these bosses has not gone up. Yes, true, rising world levels also increase the quality and probability of the rare items they drop, but at least you can get basic items to ascend your character and equip your artifacts before their damage becomes even more painful.
Above adventure rank 29, the world level will rise automatically when you enter rank 30, not through trial. So, when your adventure rank is 29 to 30, it’s better to get experience by clearing bosses, not by taking treasure chests here and there.
9. Know the right build for each of your characters, make sure the weapons and artifacts work optimally
The right build will make your character strengths to their maximum potential. Make sure you give them the right weapons and artifacts, according to their skills and characteristics. 10. Spend the daily resin every day, don’t waste the chance
Resin is used to get items on flowers that appear when you defeat bosses or complete challenges in the yellow and blue ley line openings or are presented to trees when completing domains. Better to use it for the boss (priority) or the domain anyway. This resin will renew one unit every 8 minutes, so don’t worry. Spending daily resin rations will also help you earn battle points. Do not use the Fragile Resins until you reach at least AR 45+.
11. Feel free to do co-op mode, prepare resin
Besides being able to make you know new friends in this game, you can also go faster in this game with their help. Most high-level players will not hesitate to help you defeat bosses, finish quests or collect certain items because they will get them too (the drops and the experience points).
Doing co-op mode can also help you fulfill achievements to get special banners. Make sure before doing co-op mode, that your resin is full or at least enough to hunt bosses or domains.
12. Identify and carry out various secret missions, one of which is on a secret island in Mondstadt
On the secret island in Mondstadt, there are anemoculus, treasure maps, and secret missions. It is visible from the Starsnatch Cliff. You can access it by crossing using Kaeya’s water freeze skill (Frostgnaw); gliding from Starsnatch Cliff using Amber (because of his passive skill which saves 20 percent of stamina usage when gliding), or using Venti with his Skyward Sonnet skill from the Starsnatch cliff as well.
As long as you can see an area that feels far away, but is still in an active map area, it means you can reach it using various skills in this game. This includes the two ships in the Liyue area. On top of the two ships, there is also a geoculus and missions that await you.
Apart from the secret island, there are some of the best-hidden treasure chests in the game:
- On the beach early in the game, don’t immediately follow Paimon. Turn towards the land that is close enough to swim there with a high rock. Behind the stone, there is a secret treasure chest. This will make your progress rate faster because you already get it at the beginning of the game.
- In Guyun Stone Forest, climb on an abandoned ship that sits atop the rocks. You will see a pile of rocks. Destroy the pile of stones and a treasure chest will appear.
- In the Gunyu Ruins, stand on one of the tree trunks that emerge from the water at the edge of the lake. Stand on it and a treasure chest will appear.
In the Stormbearer Mountains, go to the end of the river, between the two cliffs, in front of the waterfall, there will be a pillar with a secret treasure chest there. - Near the statue of Anemo God in front of the cathedral of Mondstadt, go to the stairs to the left of the statue (if you are walking from the direction of the cathedral to the statue of Anemo God). You will see a light shining over one of the stone fences. Go to the light and complete the challenge of running to the other end of the fence. Pass the existing circles without falling. You will get a secret treasure map.
- On top of the Mondstadt Cathedral, head to the tallest tower and you’ll find a secret treasure chest there.
- On top of the Adventurer’s Guild headquarters, you’ll also find a secret treasure map there.
13. Build a team that can support each other
You can easily change your team members (party) in the middle of the trip, unless in the domain or when you are fighting enemies. Make sure the team members in your party can support or strengthen each other. It doesn’t have to be different elements, sometimes teams containing two or more of the same elements can maximize each other’s damage and attack effects, it’s called elemental resonance.
For elemental reactions, remember that there’s a frozen effect when hydro and cryo meet or an electro-charged effect when hydro hits electro; superconduct when cryo meets electro; overloaded when electro meets pyro; and much more.
