Around 23 equity mutual funds have offered more than 60% return in the last one year, an analysis of the performance showed. Around 249 equity mutual funds have completed one year of market presence.
Top two performers were from Quant Mutual Fund. Quant Value Fund, the topper in the list, offered 75.85% return in the last one year. Quant Mid Cap Fund gave 74.72% return in the similar time frame.
ITI Mid Cap Fund delivered 72.53% return in the last one year. Bandhan Small Cap Fund and JM Midcap Fund gave 71.45% and 70% returns respectively in the said period.
Quant Small Cap Fund and Mahindra Manulife Small Cap Fund offered 66.42% and 66.04% returns respectively in the same time horizon. Two schemes from JM Mutual Fund - JM Flexicap Fund and JM Value Fund - gave 64.40% and 64.23% returns respectively in the last one year horizon.

Franklin India Smaller Companies Fund gave 60.98% return in the same time period. Motilal Oswal Midcap Fund and HSBC Multi Cap Fund delivered 60.89% and 60.79% returns respectively in the same period.
Note, none of the largest schemes from any equity mutual fund category gave over 60% return in the last one year.
Among these 23 schemes, five were from Quant Mutual Fund, three from JM Mutual Fund and HSBC Mutual Fund each, two from Mahindra Manulife Mutual Fund, ITI Mutual Fund each, and one scheme from Bandhan Mutual Fund, Bank of India Mutual Fund, Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, Invesco Mutual Fund, Kotak Mutual Fund, Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund, Nippon India Mutual Fund each.
The other 226 equity mutual funds offered returns ranging between 18.86% and 59.90% in the last one year. HDFC Mid-Cap Opportunities Fund, the largest mid cap fund based on assets managed, gave 55.10% return in the similar time frame.
Axis ELSS Tax Saver Fund, the largest ELSS fund based on assets managed, gave 29.48% return in the last one year. Parag Parikh Flexi Cap Fund, the largest flexi cap fund based on assets managed, gave 36.83% return in the same time period.

We considered all equity mutual fund categories such as large cap, flexi cap, mid cap, large and mid cap, small cap, focused fund, ELSS, multi cap, value and contra funds. We considered regular and growth options.
