Credit One Bank credit card FAQ
What is the minimum credit limit for Credit One?
If approved, the minimum credit limit is $300. Your credit limit amount depends on your financial history and creditworthiness at the time of your card application. Credit One does not publicly disclose a maximum credit limit for any of its cards.
How do I request a credit limit increase with Credit One?
Credit One automatically reviews accounts for credit limit increases. If you aren’t notified of an available increase offer, you can request a credit limit increase by calling customer service.
How can I check on my Credit One Bank application status?
You can check on your application status on the Credit One Bank website. Select “Application Status” on the menu of the home page.
How long does it take Credit One to send my card?
It takes Credit One up to 10 business days to deliver a new card.
Are Capital One and Credit One the same bank?
No, Capital One and Credit One are not the same. Capital One is one of the largest banks in the U.S. and offers bank accounts, credit cards, loans, and investment products, while Credit One only issues credit cards. It's easy to confuse the two since they have similar names and logos.

The past few weeks the purchases I make are getting “flagged” or “blocked” and counted as fraudulent. These purchases getting declined (some low $$ some higher $$$) happen randomly. We Removed a blocked at 10:40 am today, a purchase of $34 was declined at 12:13pm same day. Called back to figure out what’s going on, couldn’t access the account without calling my husband again (that would be three times in one day). Option is sending in a power of attorney to permanently give me (authorized user) permission to access the account via customer service. It’s not optimal but it’s Credit One procedure.

Wish I could go lower. They keep screwing me. It denies everywhere just about. I pay on it. They don't update it. I usually use debit card. Well lost it so pay with bank. They lock me out of it because I used my bank instead of a debit card to pay.

Credit One has called me at least 10 times a day to harass me about a payment that was already made. I make payments online and they take so called fees out to leave my account in the negative. I have spoke with the so called manager which was **, he lied about everything that was said on the phone. Do Not Use This Company.

Horrible customer support, they blocked my account once I paid in full, they said for scam security protection!!! I called and the only way to unblock is sending email with documentation!!! Which take about 10 working days to be reviewed!!!!

Worst mess I have ever experienced, trying for the third time to close my account paying in full, got email showing account closed with zero balance. Today showing past due $73, I paid it twice already and they keep saying my payment method was rejected, complete theft!!

This is the worst bank. I closed my account and they continue to charge me fees. I closed the account and paid in full my balance!! This is fraudulent!!! I have called every month!!! To be told my fees are waived... what fees on a card I closed and owe nothing. They are a disgrace. Do not use this company. I'm still arguing with them and continue to get bills.

After reading other one-star reviews, I can see that my experience is common to many people who have had the same situation occur: a block being placed on your card (allegedly), by their system, that flagged a gas purchase - within the United States - as if it was a fraudulent card use. Instead of getting a call (on my mobile phone), or text message, to verify it was me who was using my AMEX card - in a different state, other than the one they have on record where I reside - I had to call them, and they told me they have a "policy in place", which required me (get this while I was on the road), to transmit an electric copy of a utility bill, and a state-issued ID, uploaded to my online portal for Credit One Bank to review and use as proof of identity - so the block can be removed.
What they don't tell you and I later found out is that their "unwritten/internal" policy requires you to wait anywhere from 4 to 7, or 7 to 10 business days (not including weekends), before the block will be removed! I agree with many of the one-star reviews that they've gotten, for the reasons I've mentioned - in addition to the fact that their customer service is horrible, and... unsurprisingly, all of their customer service phone representatives are overseas. Some of their CSRs know, but the majority do not -- nor do they have the capability of transferring a call to a US-based representative - which they are required to do (by law) if you ask.

Terrible. Do not use this bank!!!! Every transaction I do is considered suspicious activity but I did not know Burger King or Amazon shopping for my pregnant wife was suspicious activity!! They're a joke and when they remove the block they suggest you do not use the card for 5-7 business days. I have never had an issue with any other bank but Credit One Bank absolutely trash, I would recommend capital one bank. Stay far, far away from this bank. If I could rate 0 I definitely would.

I am highly disappointed with Credit One Bank. They provide little to no help and fail to explain critical details about their payment process. If you make a payment using a different card, they lock your account, making it impossible to access your funds. This is never clearly communicated, and it's incredibly frustrating. While they are quick to take your money, good luck trying to use it when you need it.
The customer service is atrocious. The managers are extremely unprofessional and have a habit of hanging up on you. It's clear that no one at this company is interested in helping customers. I would not recommend Credit One Bank to anyone looking for a reliable and customer-friendly banking experience. Avoid them if you can.

This is complete and total scam. They send you a bill before you ever receive the card. You cannot get a live person on the phone after they lock you in and they charge a ridiculous fee for EVERYTHING. I will return the card and cancel ASAP!
