Michael V It is very uneven. The wow moments and sense of mystery are well-done. But the writing is trash, which results in the acting coming across as forced and the character development seeming unearned. Also the lead actors have zero chemistry with each other. It's worth a watch, mainly for the excitement. I just wish I could skip the exposition-heavy character scenes, especially any with "The Oxford Five". The way they write smart characters makes it seem as if the writers have never met a smart person in their entire lives. There is at least one line in every episode that literally makes me roll my eyes. The graphics and special effects were neither over nor under done. The balance of tension, relief, story telling and character development was tip-toeing a tough line, but they nailed it.It was definitely a 5/5, but I did get the sense that something was missing from making it an award winning 5/5. I'm hoping that as the actors iterate on their chemistry together in the next season, we'll get there.Even though the first season drew elements from books I haven't read yet, I didn't get the sense that they were spoiling anything. They did justice to the source material, and more so.My favorite part is how much the 3 body problem game aligned with how I had imagined it. I'm not over exaggerating when I say that it was EXACTLY the same.I genuinely cannot wait for the next season. Episode 1 has a fantastic setup, and Episode 5, in particular, delivers the most story and emotion. Unfortunately, the last three episodes of the season completely lose their way, to the point that I have no interest in seeing where the rest of the seasons will go. The decision to create romantic entanglements among 5 Friends-like mannequins (6 if you include Raj) was a huge mistake. None of the relationships are engaging or believable, none advance the clever sci-fi plot, and none hold my interest. Rated 2/5 Stars • Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/04/24 Full Review Jenaro V La ví sin saber de que trataba y vaya sorpresa tan grata, muy buena temporada con un guion solido y personajes carismáticos, el planteo de todo el problema es excelente y cuanto te das cuenta que todo va de alienígenas te quedas frio, me gusta el ritmo que tiene y la forma en la que avanza tan rápido, aunque se frena en el final, sobre todo los últimos 3 capítulos con ese arco melodramático de Will que me pareció muy innecesario, otra cosa que no me gusto fue el desperdicio de personaje que hicieron con Saul, el primer episodio te lo presentan como el más inteligente del grupo pero no hace nada hasta el final (en el que tampoco hace nada pero) que te dicen que el será crucial en el futuro como un Amurallado.
