The cross is the main symbol of Christianity, remembering the suffering and death of Jesus Christ. The crucifix, the symbol of Christ’s death and rising, is therefore a very powerful symbol both of Christ and of the religion of Christians. With this in mind, many Christians, both Catholic and Protestant, have created beautiful and meaningful crosses for their own use. They have done this through art, photography, and prayer.
Some of the most powerful symbols have multiple meanings, are used in many contexts, and make statements about our emotions, attitudes, hopes, fears and faith in the future. However, how does one decide what is most powerful and most appropriate to represent themselves, their community, group, or the nation? What about a flag? Or a song? A poem by Robert Frost?

This is because Rowling specifically wrote these stories to make her readers feel a connection to the Jesus Christ character. While some may consider this merely shallow symbolism, it is rather fitting in many ways.
