BRAZOS COUNTY, Texas — The Brazos County Crime Stoppers is celebrating its 40th anniversary by profiling 40 cases in 40 days, starting with November 1. If you have any information on any of these cases, call, use its website or download the Brazos County Crime Stoppers app. You can remain anonymous and you could earn cash if your tip leads to an arrest by law enforcement.
The profiled cases will be updated here daily so you can refer back to them frequently. These are some of the toughest unsolved cases in Brazos County and a tip could lead to breaking the case wide open.
For all cases that are being highlighted here, the reward has increased by 40% and any tip that leads to an arrest will also be increased.

December 9, 2021: WANTED

Just a few hours after releasing information on this Crime Stoppers Case #39, Ralph Ballard was arrested. Ballard was wanted for theft of property over $2,500 and has previous convictions in Brazos County.
Ballard is currently in the Brazos County Jail on $205,000 bond.
December 8, 2021: WANTED

Fernando Chavez, 47, is wanted for DWI and skipping out on his bond. Chavez has a history of DWI offenses, authorities said. His last known address was on Robertson Street in Bryan.

December 7, 2021: MURDER

Authorities are asking for your help in finding any information on the murder of William Gibson. Gibson's body was found in a ditch off Sandy Pont Road on July 3, 1988.
Gibson, 50, was last seen at a bar in Bryan called The Old Folks Homes. An autopsy showed he had been shot in the head with birdshot from a single 12 gauge shotgun. Authorities do not believe Gibson was robbed because he had all of his known possessions with him and they were found with his body.

December 6, 2021: WANTED

Brazos County authorities are asking for your help in finding two men who are wanted in the community. While both are wanted for felony warrants, their crimes are not related.
Gilbert Corona, Jr., 42, is wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Authorities said Corona is a habitual offender and he was last known to live at 1706 Grant Street in Bryan.
Genaro Santos Becerra, 30, is wanted for aggravated assault of a family member. His last known address was known as 5101 Leonard Road #79 in Bryan. Becerra is accused of attacking his family member in April of 2014 and has been on the run since.

December 5, 2021: WANTED

Authorities are searching for Ruben Barrientos. Barrientos. 28, is wanted for aggravated sexual assault of a child. He was last known to be living on Clearleaf Street in Bryan.
The Brazos County Crime Stoppers said it believes Barrientos is still in the Brazos County area and there are people here who know where he is. If you have any information, you can collect a reward. During the Brazos County Crime Stoppers Anniversary Celebration, rewards have been increased by 40%.

December 3, 2021: WANTED

Alan Vanegas is wanted for aggravated assault of a child. Authorities said he was last known to live on Pecan Street in Bryan. Authorities said they have reason to believe Venegas has people in the area he keeps in contact with and they may have information on where he is hiding out.

December 2, 2021: HOMICIDE

On Tuesday, November 3, 2009, the driver of a black or dark blue four door or extended cab pickup hit a man who was crossing the street. It happened at the intersection of Texas Avenue and East 17th Street around 9:30 p.m.
The driver did not stop and continued driving south on Texas Avenue. Witnesses said they knew it was a dark colored pickup and security video at a nearby store spotted the truck.
The truck would have had damage to the front and authorities believe there are people in the community who have information as to who is responsible for this act. Brazos County authorities are searching for Wendy Rapp, who has a warrant from 2018 issued for her arrest. Rapp is wanted for prescription drug fraud and was last known to be living on Welsh Avenue in College Station.

Brazos County authorities are searching for information on Albert Richards Jr. Richards is wanted on an evading arrest warrant from 2013. He was last known to be living on Longmire Drive in College Station.

November 26, 2021: MURDER

The Bryan Police Department is asking for tips in the murder of 26-year-old Terrence "Chuckie" Leggett.
On February 21, 2005, a sergeant with the Bryan Police Department was patrolling Sadie Thomas Park on the 100 block of Moss Street in East Bryan. Just after 4 a.m., the sergeant found Leggett's body in the driver's seat of his white 2000 Dodge Intrepid. He had been shot in the head and died at the scene.

November 25, 2021: MURDER

The Bryan Police Department is asking for tips in the murder of Harvey Leon Allen. On January 22, 2005, police officers were called to the 800 block of Hall Street around 1 a.m. after reports of a shooting.
When officers got to the scene, they found Allen in the roadway with a gunshot wound to his stomach. He was taken to the hospital, but later died of his injuries.

November 24, 2021: MURDER

The Bryan Police Department is looking for tips in the killing of Keithron Rondell Tucker. Investigators said on March 9, 2002, the Bryan Fire Department was called to a vacant field at the intersection of East 15th and Plum Street for a car fire. After the fire department put out the fire, they found Tucker's body on the ground next to the open driver's side door. Authorities said the vehicle, a 1989 Chrysler New Yorker, belonged to Tucker's mother.

November 23, 2021: MISSING

On May 11, 1979, 16-year-old Sophia Moreno went missing from a store in Bryan. Authorities said she was last seen by her mother at the Washateria on Groesbeck and Palasoto. Her mother said Moreno asked her what she wanted for Mother's Day and said she would be attending a family event later in the week, but she was never seen again. Today, she would be 59 years old.
Authorities said they suspect foul play in this case. Moreno was also married and her married name is Herrera. She has a tattoo of the initials "AH", the initials of her husband, on her left hand between her thumb and index finger. She also has a tattoo of a cross on her right hand. She also has a burn scar on her left leg.

November 22, 2021: THEFT

Authorities are looking for this person who they said is a person of interest in a credit card abuse case. They said the crime happened on October 19, 2021 and was spotted on camera at two locations using one of the stolen credit cards. They also may be driving a white, newer model Nissan SUV with no front license plate.

November 19, 2021: WANTED

Abel Martinez, 43, is wanted for aggravated sexual assault of a child from 2009. Authorities said Martinez was last known to live on Green Street in Bryan.

November 18, 2021: THEFT
The Brazos County Sheriff's Office is searching for tips in the case of a stolen tractor. The suspect or suspects committed the crime in the middle of the day, according to authorities, so it is possible someone spotted the suspect driving away in the John Deere tractor.
Authorities said it happened between March 24 and March 26 in the 7800 block of Elmo Weedon Road. Authorities said the thief hopped over a fence, cut a barbed-wire fence and then drove the tractor off the property.

November 17, 2021: WANTED

Alejandro Salazar is wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, stemming from a situation that happened back in 2013. Authorities said his last known address was on West 31st Street in Bryan.

November 16, 2021: WANTED

Authorities are searching for Jalynn Thurmon. The 24-year-old is wanted for two active warrants: evading arrest and theft, which occurred in 2019. His last known address was 3158 Norton Lane in College Station.

November 15, 2021: WANTED

The Brazos County Sheriff's Office is searching for the person you see in the above photo. This person is accused of stealing checks and "washing" them in the Brazos County area in September of 2020. The checks were then cashed in Harker Heights.
"Washing" a check means the ink is erased using chemicals found in common household cleaning products and then rewriting the checks to the suspected thief. The person can even re-write the amounts the checks are written for.

November 14, 2021: WANTED

Trevion Turner, 22, of Houston is wanted out of Brazos County for aggravated robbery. The crime happened in 2019 and authorities believe Turner has ties to the Bryan-College Station area. They said his last known address was 10819 Segrest Drive in Houston.

November 13, 2021: WANTED

Frederick Heslip, 41, has an active warrant for his arrest for aggravated assault. Authorities said the assault happened in 2013, and his last known address was 4019 Castle Avenue in Bryan, Texas.
Eric Beltran, 43, has a warrant for indecency with a child from 2013. Authorities said he was last known to be living at 1301 Barthelow Drive in College Station.

November 12, 2021: UNIDENTIFIED SUSPECTS

The Brazos County Sheriff's Office needs help in finding the people responsible for multiple car burglaries on August 24, 2021. According to the sheriff's office, at least three men were involved in burglarizing 16 vehicles. Some of the cars had items stolen, including a handgun.

Armando Velasco-Gordillo, 46, is wanted for attempted sexual assault. Authorities said the attempted sexual assault happened on April 5, 2019 and he was indicted on October 28, 2019. His was last known to live on Clearleaf in Bryan.
Authorities said Velasco-Gordillo does freelance cabinet and countertop work throughout Brazos County and he is believed to still be in the area. He was last seen driving a red, 2003 Lincoln Aviator.
November 10, 2021: WANTED

Jose Daniel Zavala-Estrada is wanted for continual sexual abuse of a child. The warrant is from August 21, 2012. He is also known to go by the aliases of Daniel Zavala and Martin Mata Cantu.
Zavala-Estrada's last known address was on Silver Spur Circle in Bryan.
November 9, 2021: UNSOLVED MURDER

On June 22, 1995, Mary Ann Buitron's body was found near SR 2818 and State Highway 6. She had been killed by severe blunt force trauma to the head. Authorities say she was last seen in North Bryan between June 19 and June 22, 1995.

Richard Brown makes the Brazos County Crime Stoppers list at #8. Brown, 65, is wanted for indecency with a child by sexual contact. His last known address was 1003 E. 25th St. in Bryan. He failed to appear for a scheduled court date. Authorities believe he is still in the area or may have contact with someone in Brazos County who knows where he is.

November 7, 2021: THEFT

The Brazos County Sheriff's Office is asking for help in identifying the person or people involved in a tire theft from a local business on Crosswind Drive. On September 17, 2021, the suspects used a stolen U-Haul truck, backed up to the rear of the business and loaded in a large amount of tires.
Take a look at the video above. The sheriff's office believes the suspect or suspects were familiar with the area and may be from around here. They have reason to believe someone in the community knows information about this crime.

Delmy Diaz-Roman, 31, is wanted for injury to a child. This is an open felony warrant as of August 8, 2020. Authorities said her last known address was 1501 Holleman Drive in College Station.
Clifford Harris, 41, is wanted for assaulting a family member. This is an open felony warrant as of February 23, 2021. Authorities said his last known address 4413 N. Texas Avenue in Bryan.

November 5, 2021: WANTED x 2

Today's cases from the Brazos County Crime Stoppers profiles two wanted men, however their cases are not connected.
Gregorio Sanchez Lozano has a warrant for his arrest for intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle. Lozano is accused of driving drunk and killing Matthew McGill, 15, on September 22, 2002. Lozano allegedly walked out of the hospital and hasn't been seen since. He has known ties to the Brazos Valley. His last known address was 1101 W. Martin Luther King in Bryan.
Marwan Hussein Sweidan is wanted for sexual assault from 2006. He has outstanding warrants for DWI, sexual assault and disorderly conduct. Authorities think Sweidan is still in the Brazos Valley and has known ties to the area.

November 4, 2021: WANTED

Cruz Amparo Zamarripa, 46, is a wanted man on the run. In 2002, a Grand Jury indicted Zamarripa for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He is also wanted for evading arrest. Authorities said Zamarripa has lived in Bryan in the past and is originally from Mexico.
Authorities said Zamarripa's last known address is 912 Cole Street in Bryan. They said Zamarripa has never shown up for his court dates. November 3, 2021: VEHICULAR HOMICIDE

The Bryan Police Department is looking for tips in the death of a woman after she was hit by a car on East William Joel Bryan Parkway. On July 26, 2021, just before 6:30 a.m. witnesses said a white two-door sports car, possibly a Camaro, hit a pedestrian on the 1600 block of E. William Joel Bryan. The driver of the vehicle then took off at a high rate of speed.
Authorities said the car would likely have or have had front-end damage, possible hood damage, possible left quarter panel damage and possible windshield damage. Authorities said it's possible the driver may not have showed up to work that morning due to the crash.

November 2, 2021: WANTED

Alberto Sanchez, 30, of College Station, is wanted by law enforcement. Authorities said he has an active warrant for assault family violence that was issued in Brazos County in 2012. Sanchez was last known to live on Southwest Parkway in College Station.

November 1, 2021: MISSING PERSON

Jerry Gayle Woodard, 37, was last seen on May 20, 1991 in eastern Brazos County. Authorities said Woodard told family he was going hunting but he did not return when expected. His blue 1983 Buick Park Avenue was found at the end of Long Trussel Road near the Navasota River. Authorities said they searched for Woodard for several days but he was never found.
Woodard is described as a white male with brown hair and blue eyes. He has a scar near his left eye. He had been taking medication for Addison's Disease, which is a rare condition that requires daily medication. Woodard is classified by law enforcement as an Endangered Missing individual.
