Helping you understand how attorneys bill for their services is very important to us. Understanding lawyer fee structures builds trust in you as the client, as you will know exactly what you’re paying for. You will be required to sign a retainer agreement in order to hire one of our attorneys. Cases in our firm are typically handled on an hourly rate basis.
HOURLY FEES AND RETAINERS IN TRUST
Our attorney hourly rate differs depending on the type and complexity of the case, but usually ranges between $290 to $450 per hour. Our staff/paralegal rate ranges between $95 – $140/hour. For specifics your case you can request an initial consultation with our firm.
All civil cases are handled on an hourly basis with the client placing an advance retainer deposit into our trust account. Work done on the case is billed twice per month and any earned fees are paid from the fund “in trust.” An invoice detailing each line item is sent via our system for our clients’ review.
Due to the unique challenges in each individual case our attorneys do not guarantee the costs of any case. As such, the initial retainer will likely be spent and additional replenishments of the trust account will be requested. The trust account is intended to be an evergreen fund, which is automatically replenished once it hits a specific low point set by your attorney.
At the resolution of the client’s case, any remaining balance is refunded to the client.
