Add or remove apps on a home screen
When you have a lot of apps, it can be difficult to find the one you need. To access them faster, add some apps to the home screen, so they'll be right there. From the home screen, swipe up or down to access the Apps screen. Touch and hold your desired app, and then drag it to your desired location on the home screen. Alternatively, you can touch and hold your desired app, and then tapAdd to Home.
If you're cleaning up your home screen, there's a way to remove apps you don't use often. Touch and hold the app you want to remove, and then tapRemove from Home.
You can remove Android widgets from the home screen by long-pressing and dragging. If you want to remove the widget from your device, you can do so in Settings. You can also use the Google Play Store to remove unwanted widgets and apps.
In computing, a widget is an element of a graphical user interface that displays information or provides a specific way for a user to interact with the operating system (OS) or an application.
Widgets can be added to your phone's home as a quick way to access certain information from apps without having to open the app itself. One example is the Calendar widget, which provides a quick view of the upcoming events in your calendar without having to open the Calendar application.
Certain apps cannot be uninstalled but can be disabled. This is because they are useful for the everyday use and the basic functions of your smartphone.
Scroll down to the Settings app, then press and hold on Settings shortcut. The home screen will reappear. Drag the shortcut icon to the desired location on the screen and release. A menu will appear with various shortcut options.
Step 1: On the Home Screen, find the widget you want to remove. Press and hold the widget until you feel a slight vibration or see a menu pop up.Step 2: Look for an option that says "Remove" or a trash can icon. This might appear at the top or bottom of your screen, depending on your Android version and device model.
