You can use either RPC URL or Public RPC URL from the above table for the 'New RPC Url' field in MetaMask. Note that Public RPC URLs are suited only for testing. They are publicly known and often go down, so it's better to get your own API keys of web3 service provider like infura to interact with the blockchains.
And Sign up for a free account or log in to your existing account. Infura will automatically generate the My First Key API key for new users.Click the API Key.
Step 2: Enable Amoy
Enable AMOY from list of networks and click SAVE CHANGES.
Step 3: Copy API Key
Click the icon ( highlighted with red border ), to copy the API Key.
Now that you have the API Key, you can add it into your MetaMask. You can refer to the guide above.
From the homepage of your wallet, click on the network selector in the top left. Scroll down until you see the 'Additional networks' section. Alternatively, you can also search for the network to add in the search bar. Tap the 'Add' button next to the network to add it to your MetaMask instance.

6. What Kind of Blockchain Does It Run on? MATIC was created on the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) using the ERC-20 token standard. Because Polygon uses this EVM, developers can easily move applications built on Ethereum.
Find the network on https://chainid.network/ to add it to MetaMask automatically. You can also add custom networks to MetaMask manually using a few other methods: see our instructions here. Always verify custom network information.
You can now use the MetaMask Portfolio Bridge to not only move your tokens to a different network, but swap them into a different token of your choice, all as part of the same transaction. You might see this practice referred to elsewhere as "cross-chain swaps".
Polygon, previously known as the Matic Network, underwent a name change and rebranding while keeping its native token ticker as MATIC. It is important to note that despite the name change, Polygon and Matic Network refer to the same project.
Which networks does MetaMask support? MetaMask supports Ethereum (including all ERC-20 tokens) and both layer one and two EVM-compatible blockchains, including:BNB Smart Chain (formerly Binance Smart Chain/BSC) Polygon.
Easily withdraw USDC on Polygon PoS and send it on-chain in seconds. Swap USDC natively from Ethereum to Polygon PoS and back – without incurring costs or delays from third-party bridges. You can always redeem USDC on Polygon PoS 1:1 for US dollars.
Step 1: Install MetaMask Wallet. If you haven't already, then you will need to install the MetaMask (MetaMask) wallet extension on your web browser. ...

A Polygon wallet address is a public ID used to receive tokens on the Polygon network. While anyone can view this address, only a private key unlocks access to your wallet.
