After I got the iPhone, all of my music got transferred to iCloud somehow. Now I'm trying to add music to my 2g iPod and I'm not really sure how to go about doing that. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You will need a computer running iTunes. Except for iPod touch, which is an iOS device lilke iPhone and iPad, iPods cannot sync directly to iCloud. They sync to your computer's iTunes library.
So, whatever music you want on the iPod needs to first be in the computer's iTunes music library. Hopefully, most of the songs are already in your computer's iTunes library.
Are you subscribed to Apple's iTunes Match service? It's a $25 a year service that puts a copy of your iTunes library, "in the cloud." If you are, you can easily download ANY song that is not directly on the computer (that you want on the iPod), from iCloud. Just go to your main iTunes music library song listing and click the download (cloud) button next to the song name.
If you don't have iTunes Match, you can re-download any song purchased from the iTunes Store on the Purchased screen. There is a link to that screen on the iTunes Store Home screen, under QUICK LINKS. If there are any songs that are not iTunes Store purchases that are not in the computer's iTunes library (that you want on the iPod), you need to use some other method to re-add them to your iTunes music library.
