E-commerce giant Amazon has again changed the subscription plans for prime users. Here are the details.
Amazon has hiked the price of its Prime membership in India. The e-commerce giant has confirmed the increase in price by a huge margin from the old prices. This comes just months after Amazon dropped its subscription price to attract new customers and now it has again changed the price.
Amazon Prime subscription prices increased
The new subscription price of Amazon Prime in India has been hiked to Rs 299 for the one-month plan. Earlier, the customers paid Rs 179 for a one-month subscription which was announced in December 2021. The e-commerce giant has hiked the price by Rs 120.
For the three-month subscription, the customers will have to pay Rs 499. Earlier, the quarterly subscription paid Rs 459, which means that Amazon has raised the price by 140.
While the monthly and quarterly subscription has changed, the annual subscription remains the same for the customers. The annual Amazon Prime membership subscription is still available at Rs 1,499, and the Annual Prime Lite plan is priced at Rs 999 on the official site.

While the price hike has been announced, Amazo has confirmed that the existing monthly and quarterly subscribers who have opted for an auto-renewal option can pay the old price till January 15.
However, due to any reason if you cancel the ongoing subscription, you will have to pay the new price once you join the Amazon family again.
Amazon Prime subscribers enjoy multiple benefits from the e-commerce platform such as support for Prime shipping, which is faster delivery than non-paid users. Customers can also log in to Prime Video, Prime Music, Prime Deals, Prime Reading, Prime Gaming, and Amazon Family.
