Aphids are hostile Mobs that have a 0.9332% chance (1 in 107) of spawning from collecting Leaves, with the chances increasing when a Field is experiencing a period of low activity (i.e. players are not visiting said field very often). Their level and health correlate to which Field the Aphid spawns in, like Rogue Vicious Bee. Sharing a similar trait with Tunnel Bear, Coconut Crab, Chicks, Hostage Chicks, Wild Windy Bee, Mondo Chick, and Puffshrooms, Aphids despawn after 30 seconds. The timer is shown above its health. Aphids attack in a similar matter to Stick Nymphs and Giant Ants, following the nearest player around slowly. Aphids are public mobs, meaning that anyone can collect the drops regardless of whether or not they attacked it.
Defeating an Aphid awards 10 Battle Points (20 if defeating one of the 3 rare types), Bond, a Magic Bean, and various other rewards. Some rewards have a cooldown, meaning that they will not be obtainable for a while after receiving them once, regardless of the level or type. However, you can still get them through other players spawning an Aphid with said rewards at the expense of applying the same cooldown to them also.

Tips[]
- Jumping and/or running around aphids will work effectively since they slowly follow players.
- If players cannot defeat an aphid due to higher level and health, upgrading bees and having a Vicious Bee will help kill the aphid faster.
- Using various consumables and passives such as Stingers, Oils, or the Star Saw can help defeat aphids faster.
Trivia[]
- Aphids can spawn in the retro bee swarm challenge.
