This precise maneuver was so accurate that two planned trajectory correction maneuvers were no longer required, showcasing the exceptional capabilities of the European engineers and their systems.
The astronauts' visit to ESTEC was a testament to the importance of their contributions. NASA astronauts Christina Koch, Reid Wiseman, and Victor Glover, along with Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen, met with the ESA specialists who had supported their flight from Earth. Christina Koch, in particular, expressed her admiration for the engineers, stating, 'Walking into this room and seeing it full of the engineers who were actually sitting on console during our mission monitoring things was awesome. I could have stayed in here all day.'

NASA Orion Program Manager Howard Hu presented a Program Award to ESA, acknowledging Europe's vital contribution to Artemis II.
