Video
Hi my loves welcome back.
Thank you so much for clicking on today's video.
And if you're new here, what's up, my name is jazz.
We do lifestyle and Beauty videos over here.
And we also have a really good time today, we're going to be comparing the new primer from Elf Cosmetics, their power grip with niacinamide and I'm going to be comparing this to their OG I want to see if it's the same so we're going to do a side-by-side comparison on my dry skin and see what this thing is all about.
So kick back, relax, get comfortable and let's test out these products from Elf Cosmetics all right.
So for contacts like I said, my skin is extremely dry I'm.
Gonna give you guys like the full details about this and I'm gonna put this one down in the description box.
So you guys can see the ingredients and stuff and look at the ingredients.
They look like, they have pretty similar ingredients.
And the crazy part is this one also contains niacinamide as well.
So I, don't know, if this one has like a higher percentage it doesn't, really specifically say on the ingredient list, but the whole thing is, obviously we want to see if this is different from this one.
So if you have this one in your collection is it really worth buying this one we're about to find out niacinamide, of course, we know, it's a really good skincare ingredient.
And you cannot see the difference right away.
You will see a difference in your skin.
If you continue to use niacinamide, you will start to notice a difference over time.
So this is not something that you're going to see like results right away.
Unfortunately, I wish that was the case I'll be using this every day, but it doesn't work like that.
So again, this is what the packaging looks like clearly visibly.
You can see that there is a difference.
This one is a green color.
This one is a pink color and I like to show the packaging.
Just in case, if you guys are in store, and you want to see like what it looks like, and you know exactly what you're looking for.
So there we go same size, different color and I did moisturize.
My skin and let's go on Elf, Cosmetics website, really quickly.
So we can get the cleanse.
Alright.
So let's get to it equipped.
You guys in on this side, I'm going to use the OG and my hands are clean lean.
So this product right here, retails for ten dollars, I got this one on Elf Cosmetics website.
And it is a sticky gel based face primer image with four percent niacinamide to help even out your skin tone and brighten while gripping your makeup.
It gives your skin.
A dewy glowy, finish it's translucent.
And it works on all skin, tones 100, vegan and cruelty free.
And it is a 0.811 fluid, ounce bottle.
And as you can see, this also has a pump just like the OG and just gonna do like a pump and a half because we're only doing one side of the face.
And as you guys can see clearly, very very translucent, let me put this light on let's see does that help a little bit not really, oh let's, put a little bit more let's, put it a little bit more.
And this clearly has like a very tacky, tacky consistency, we're gonna let that dry I'm gonna put a little bit right here.
And let me creep you guys in you can see it's clearly, not poor filling at all it just made my skin.
Look, very, very glowy.
I'm gonna keep you guys like this I'm going to clean my hands, I have, um a swisber and some micellar water.
So that way we don't mix up the two and on this side, we're gonna do the new one and let's see if there's a difference? Okay, clearly this one is different color, but you don't see it when you put it on because it is translucent all right.
So immediately I will say this one, when you take this one out, it does feel a little bit more hydrating like a tad, hydrating, um and it's, not as thick as this one.
And this one seems a little bit more easier to apply I will say that let's apply a little bit on the forehead and clearly like side by side.
You can't really tell a difference, definitely not poor filling, you know what let me clip you guys in a little more all right.
So since this one is a little bit more tackier.
The OG seems like it kind of like accentuates a little bit of more of like my texture, I mean, but that's that's normal to me like texture and stuff like that doesn't bother me like it's, skin bro like you're gonna see texture on on anybody's face, unless you like use one of those like extremely filtered out primers, I mean, like uh, powders and stuff like that you're you're probably gonna get smoother skin.
But moving back looking on the skin.
They look pretty much.
They look pretty similar I feel like this one like I said, since this one seems a little bit more gripping than this one.
This one tends to like cling into like the grooves of my skin.
So I'm gonna let that settle into my skin dry down a little bit we're, gonna put a little bit of foundation, I don't want anything too too crazy.
So I'm gonna go in with my uh, Fenty, Beauty, eavesdrop foundation and I'm gonna put this on I think I have to have the shade.
This is the eavesdrop I have this shade 13 and I'm gonna let this dry down apply this on my face and we're gonna see if there's a difference all right, I'm gonna use two different brushes.
I'm gonna use my AOA blending brush from shop, Miss, A and I'm gonna use this one I think this is like a crown brush.
The label is no longer on it.
So I'm just gonna apply a little bit right here onto my skin and we're going to pack that into the skin.
And this Foundation is very very sheer to like medium, build.
You see it's kind of like a better filtered version of my skin, which is nice so we're, not gonna go too crazy with this.
Because our main focus is the primer and I clearly need to blend this out, because this color is not an exact match, but close enough all right.
So now let's go on the other side and I'm going to use this brush all right so I'm going to take you guys to I was gonna say to the sunlight, I'm gonna take you guys where we can get some natural light.
And now that I'm looking at this, yo, this looks the same I didn't, even put powder or anything like that.
But it literally looks the same.
It feels the same initially when I apply the OG on this side, you kind of could see like a little bit more of texture.
But when I applied the foundation, you don't really see anything, I, haven't, applied powder, or anything like that, I didn't put on any uh bronzer or blush or anything like that we're just testing out the primer, um.
And this tells me a lot already honestly, it looks the same.
It feels the same now on the skin.
It didn't, really.
Initially this side felt a little thicker I will admit, but it looks the same look like it.
Dried down, I don't have any filters.
This is my cell phone like there's, no filters on here or anything like that.
This is legit my skin.
And you see the foundation that's.
Why I use this Foundation specifically because this one doesn't, it's, it's, not pore, filling it's, not smoothing it's.
It doesn't give you like crazy, crazy coverage or anything like that.
So that's, why I use this? But look at that, it looks the same let's, apply just a little bit of powder, I'm, not going to put on bronzer and stuff like that because I, literally just wanted to test out the primer itself.
But so far y'all.
This looks the same all right so I'm going to use a clean stipple brush from Al Cosmetics I.
Think, this is one from their like old school collections from the Bella Noir and elf and I'm going to use the hard candy chilling wonders powder, I'm gonna apply this to my face and I'm just gonna do it really really lightly.
Nothing, crazy, sorry for the shaking it.
Growing gusta, shanks and let's see if I can have half the skills to open this with one hand, I do have the skills I'd Sue, I have the skills all right we're.
Just gonna apply a very very small amount.
So I've got a little bit of product on it.
I can't really see too much.
Because this powder is extremely fine and we're just going to lightly see how that just like Blends into the skin, very very nicely and I'm doing it on my cell phone.
Because my camera battery is like acting up and I'm going very lightly because I have extremely dry skin.
I think I said that like 17 times, but sorry for repeating myself.
But yeah, y'all just looks the same literally looks the same all right.
So your girl is dedicated to doing this video.
So she came outside and it's cold.
So that means I love y'all a lot.
So look, y'all I got a little bit of hair right here.
But look at the skin I came out here.
So you could see like, literally in natural sunlight.
This side looks just like this side.
It is the same it's.
The same.
My skin looks really good again.
Dry skin.
You could see kind of like the Jew kind of peeking out a little bit even with the powder, which is nice.
It says, a lot, but I don't think there's any need for me to put on like bronzer or anything like that.
Because this test is really just for like the primer itself, um, it's, really gripping.
And it made the foundation.
Look really, really nice.
Of course, with different types of Foundations.
You may get a different experience, but that specific one from Fenty.
This one looks very very nice paired up with the gripping primer, um.
And it all really depends on your skin type.
So if you have oily skin, you may have a different outcome.
So I like to say, those things because you know, if somebody uses a product and they say, well, you said, blah, blah, blah, everybody's skin is different.
So I, try to give you guys as much information as possible.
But y'all this one is the same as this one it's, the flip and same.
So let me know in the comments, I'm gonna finish this video right here because I don't think there's any need to like talk about it anymore, um, but I, like it I think it's, really pretty I think that if you already have this I feel like this is not a necessity, um, however, if you finish this, and you want to try this do so because they're the same.
And if this one has a little bit more niacinamide, then of course, over time, it's going to be beneficial for your skin.
So let me know if you plan on testing this out down in the comment section below and um I'll, see you guys in my next video? See see you.
