What happened with BBC Learning English? ›

Unfortunately, the BBC Learning English app will close on 13th December 2023 (/closed on the 13th December 2023). On this date, the app will no longer work and you will not be able to access any of the programmes in the app or any programmes that you had downloaded.

As part of the BBC World Service, BBC Learning English has been teaching English to global audiences since 1943, offering free audio, video and text materials to learners around the world.

So is BBC Learning English good? I'd say it's definitely worth your time! It's an excellent resource for learners, especially upper beginner and intermediate learners. If you're easily overwhelmed by choice, you may struggle to navigate this program.
