Today, I will tell you some of the benefits of reading daily. I am a book nerd who reads 4-5 hours daily. I read books that mix non-fiction, fiction, classic and sometimes crime and mystery! Mostly I read 2 books per week. It doesn't matter if you want to read books, articles or a newspaper, it is your choice because reading benefits are the same for all of them.
Let's talk about some of the common benefits of reading:
Increases knowledge and vocabulary:
By reading, you gain new ideas, information, and perspectives, which can help you expand your vocabulary and knowledge. Apart from this, when you read it enhances your memory and concentration.
Let me share with you my personal experience, I started reading regularly in 1 year, I am reading on daily basis and I must say it improved my vocabulary, and speaking skills and enhanced my concentration a lot.
Improves sleep quality
Having a good book, or an article to read before bed can relax you and make it easier for you to fall asleep.
Every day, I make sure that I should read a couple of pages before bed because it relaxes my mind and body. And all of my tension vanishes whenever I read and it becomes easy to fall asleep.
Reduces stress
The act of reading can help relieve stress levels and relax you. Reading can take your mind off of everyday worries, which can be a great way to reduce stress levels.
Reading books is everything to me, it not only enhanced my vocabulary, and improved my sleep quality, but it also reduces my stress and tension. So basically I read to escape reality! ;)

Improves mental health
The act of reading is beneficial to mental health, including the reduction of depression and anxiety symptoms.
Whenever I feel anxious I always pick up my book and start reading and my dear books always help me not to overthink and I start feeling relaxed. There's one thing I want to tell you, I had an anxiety attack a year ago, and only after this I started reading books and it helped me a lot. That's why I love books, they are everything to me, I can't live without my books!
Enhances Empathy and Understanding
By reading about the experiences of different characters, we can develop empathy for them and a greater understanding of their situations.
When you read fiction, classic or anything then you build empathy and starts to understand other people better. You try to put yourself in their shoes and understand what it'd be like for them. Also, if you read any success story in any business book, then you will understand how he/she did that thing and how you yourself can do it.
These are some of the key benefits of reading daily. It doesn't matter what book you are reading, you can go for the genre you love. Start reading from today, and you will see some of these results when you will be consistent.
