Editor's Take
There are some major positives when it comes to working with Zoho CRM. There are high levels of customization available, and the platform is generous with its workflow automation allowances. As far as pricing goes, Zoho is one of the cheapest options on the market. All that said, you’re likely going to have to pay for other services in addition to the CRM product as a real estate agent, and the customer service setup leaves a lot to be desired.
Features
Zoho allows you to set up customized sales and deals pipelines, with features getting richer the larger your package gets. The same goes for workflow automations, though Zoho is generous in this category in particular. While Zoho does offer a wide array of third-party integrations, be prepared to pay for licenses both on the Zoho side and the third-party provider’s side. These fees aren’t necessarily included in your Zoho CRM subscription.
As a real estate agent, it’s particularly important to note that you won’t have e-sign capabilities with Zoho CRM. It’s an important feature to be missing as you guide your clients through the paperwork process. You won’t be able to build landing pages, either. Those two services are separate Zoho products that you pay for in addition to your CRM package.
Pricing
Zoho offers five different packages. The first is aptly named “Free.” It doesn’t cost anything, but only allows you three seats. While it does have email capabilities, you won’t be able to send them en masse or use auto-response features. Purchase a paid plan to gain access to those features, which start at $20 per seat per month.
The largest plan is $65 per seat per month, with each increase in monthly fees allowing you to manage a larger customer base. This is a competitive price—many real estate-specific CRMs start their pricing at or above this amount. With any of the paid plans, you can try out the software for 30 days for free.
Customer Service
Zoho’s customer support is a little tricky to get in touch with. You can submit a ticket at any time, but how long it takes to get back to you depends on your customer support package. The Classic Support package is the default and doesn’t cost you any extra money. However, support is only open during traditional business hours, and it can take them as long as eight hours to get back to you. You’ll be limited to three, 45-minute sessions per week.
You can purchase a Premium Support plan, but it will cost 20% of your subscription fee. And even then, the benefit is that support will get back in touch with you in three hours instead of eight, and you’re permitted five, 60-minute sessions each week. Granted, support staff is working 24/7 at this subscription level, but it’s still a bad setup compared to the other providers on this list.
Reputation
Zoho scores very well in terms of customer satisfaction. People are particularly impressed with the high level of customization available for the price. While Zoho CRM gets great marks in isolation, customer satisfaction gets even higher when people use multiple Zoho services in addition to the CRM. Zoho Social integration in particular gets rave reviews, so if you want to share your listings on Facebook or X, this tool may be worth looking into—even though you’ll pay extra to use it.
If there’s anything users are unhappy about, it’s understandably Zoho’s customer service setup.
