Can Apple please either add an option to turn off auto Bluetooth switching or confirm why they cannot add it?
Example: My partner and myself share Bluetooth speakers, I could be listing to music on my headphones and when she turns on the Bluetooth speaker my phone automatically switches from my headphones to the speaker. Sometimes will happen when I’m painting or gardening so cannot use my hands without washing them to fix it.
Or, I’ll be in my car and I want to use my headphones for a private call but my phone will keep switching back to the hands free.
Should be such a simple fix but it causes massive issues

Hi SravanKrA,
Appreciate your comment however I think you have slightly missed the point.
It’s not an issue of my AirPods changing device, it is my iPhone changing the device it is connected to and playing sound to automatically. My AirPods will remain connected to my phone but the audio will be changed to a portable speaker that has been switched on in the other room that I’m not using. Or my calls moving from my AirPods to my car without me doing anything

- Bluetooth PrioritizationI have multiple devices Bluetooth devices connected to my iPhone. I recently obtained hearing aids that are connected through my iPhone meaning they can stream my phone calls and music through the hearing device to provide a better hearing opportunity for me. I have also synced my phone with my vehicle, via UConnect. To get better music quality, I often plug my phone into the vehicle, and on some occasions listen to music through the Bluetooth software through the car. After getting my hearing aids, there are times throughout my travels that my phone will randomly sync to my hearing aids instead of just staying in the car. This becomes an issue since we are required to be hands free, hence the Bluetooth application. Is there a way to prioritize Bluetooth devices on an iPhone? Is there a way to prioritize Bluetooth audio devices in the order in which I want them to play, like if I am listening to music on my phone through my vehicle, that it stay there and not switch to my hearing aids? Any help or ideas you can provide would be greatly appreciated. 198525
- Turn iPad bluetooth off remotely? Switch Control?I have a set of bluetooth headphones than can dual connect to both my iPad and iPhone simultaneously (Jabra 75t Elite Active). Most of the time, I think I like this functionality, but sometimes it's annoying because I leave my iPad upstairs, and when I'm connected downstairs with my iPhone it will frequently announce that the headphones connect and unconnected with the iPad. In these times, I would like to be able (ideally) to manually turn off Bluetooth on my iPad remotely from my iPhone. Is there a way to do this? I was trying to investigate the Switch Control functionality, but couldn't figure it out. Any suggested solutions would be great (yes, I know it would be nice if I remembered to turn bluetooth off my iPad before going downstairs, but I haven't formed that habit yet!) 20591
- Bluetooth?when i am on a call and i want to switch to speaker i push the button and it gives me the following options.. iPhone .. speaker... living room. My question is how do i get this “living room “ option off? I don’t have a device with that name, its doesn't show in my Bluetooth list, i have turned off my Bluetooth, it has happened while at home and while at work i don't have any device with that name in either of those places. How can i get this option off it’s annoying when i want to switch to speaker quickly and then i can’t like i normally am. I have had this phone for about 2 years and only started happening about 2 mos ago. 2141
