This homemade Boursin cheese is a soft, creamy cheese blended with garlic and herbs – the most delicious herb cream cheese! This Boursin cheese is so irresistible, you’ll want to dip on repeat.

I have long loved slathering Boursin cheese onto everything from crackers to burgers. But now that we have this homemade version in our line up? It’s on!

This cheese is so creamy, melts easily and adds amazing flavor to just about everything! It’s the most delicious savory garlic and herb cheese recipe that I know you’re going to love.

If you love store-bought Boursin cheese, you will fall head over heels in love with this homemade Boursin cheese recipe.

It’s quick, easy, fresh and flavorful! One bite and you’ll never buy it again! It’s gluten free, low carb, keto friendly, and just plain good!

Use it in your grilled cheese, add onto any grilling recipe, smoked salmon, bagels, veggies, toss it with pasta or even fruit like peaches – and it will take it over the top!

Whip it up and it makes an amazing appetizer. I love serving cheese spread at parties because it works for guests with dietary restrictions – this herbed cream cheese is gluten free and can also work with low carb and Keto diets.

  • Cream Cheese – This gives it the creamy factory that makes it easy to spread, yet moldable as a cheese ball. Bring it to room temperature so that it blends easily. While Boursin is officially made with Gournay cheese, cream cheese is almost identical and easily accessible. It also has a higher moisture content so it creates and even creamier cheese spread!   • Butter – This gives homemade Boursin cheese that melt in your mouth quality.
  • Garlic – Fresh garlic cloves, minced garlic or powdered garlic. Your choice! Use whatever you have on hand. If using fresh garlic cloves, mince fine.
  • Grated Parmesan – Fresh is always best, but pre-grated parmesan works as well. You likely won’t notice the difference in this recipe.

A soft, creamy cheese blended with garlic and herbs that makes an amazing appetizer or topping for burgers, sandwiches, and more or to stuff mushrooms, tomatoes and dates. The options are endless!

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces butter salted, room temperature
  • 16 ounces cream cheese room temperature
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 tablespoons parmesan fresh grated
  • 1 tablespoons dill weed dried
  • ½ tablespoons marjoram dried
  • ½ teaspoon basil dried
  • ½ teaspoon chives dried
  • ½ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon thyme dried
  • 1 tablespoons parsley dried

Instructions

  • Bring butter and cream cheese to room temperature.

  • In a separate bowl, combine garlic, parmesan cheese and herbs.

  • In the bowl of your mixer, combine butter and cheese mixture with herbs.

  • If using as a dip, simply refrigerate to allow the flavors to marinate and then serve at room temperature.

  • If serving as a cheese ball, refrigerate and then use wax paper to shape into a ball.
