Instructions to withdraw SAND from the Polygon to Ethereum network.
Important Notes
POTENTIAL BLOCKERS
If you do not get a prompt from your wallet asking you to confirm the transaction, disable all adblocking and pop-up blocking extensions on your browser temporarily, and try again.
If there is still no wallet prompt, then try a different browser. Particularly if you are using Brave, which our The Sandbox community members report doesn't always behave nicely with non-Brave wallets.
TRANSACTION TIMINGIt can take ten minutes to an hour for transferred LANDs or SAND to be reflected in your wallet depending on network congestion. There may also be a few minutes delay for your account at The Sandbox to update and reflect completed transactions.
TRACKING YOUR TRANSACTIONS
You need to use PolygonScan when tracking transactions on the Polygon network, and Etherscan when tracking transactions on the Ethereum network.
The funds are being processed and reaching the checkpoint. This process can take a few hours to complete the withdrawal depending on network congestion.
Step 6
Your SAND has reached the checkpoint. On the bridge page, click on the 1 Action Required.
Step 7
Your mSAND has reached the checkpoint. Confirm the new transaction. A small ETH gas fee will be incurred. Then when prompted, sign the transaction on your wallet.
Step 8
The transaction is successful. You can find your SAND in your Ethereum wallet.

How long does it take to bridge? Depositing to Base typically takes a few minutes. Withdrawing from Base to Ethereum takes approximately 7 days due to a security feature designed to help secure Base.
Secret Bridges turn tokens from other blockchains into Secret Tokens. When you use a Secret Bridge—e.g., the Ethereum Bridge—you “park” your ETH (or COMP, or DAI) in an Ethereum smart contract on the Ethereum blockchain. An equivalent amount of “Secret ETH” (sETH) is minted on Secret Network.
Bridging your ETH from mainnet Ethereum (L1) to the Zora Network should take 1-2 minutes for the ETH to show up in your wallet on L2. Please note that congestion on the Ethereum mainnet can increase the time it takes to bridge to L2.
First you lock your crypto in a smart contract on the blockchain network you're bridging from, and then you'll receive crypto from the network you're bridging to. For example if a user is bridging from Ethereum to Polygon, the first transaction on Ethereum typically takes 10-20min.
SAND is the utility token used throughout The Sandbox ecosystem as the basis for transactions and interactions. It is an ERC-20 utility token built on the Ethereum blockchain.
Some wallets, such as MetaMask, allow you to purchase SAND directly. You can also buy SAND at any Exchange that trades the SAND token and transfer it to your wallet.
The most straightforward way to mine ETH is by joining one of many Ethereum mining pools like SparkPool, Nanopool, F2Pool and many others. These allow miners to have a constant stream of income instead of a random chance of finding a whole block once in a while.
Thus, private key compromises are one of the most common vulnerabilities for a cross-chain bridge, the culprit behind some of Web3's most notorious cross-chain bridge hacks, often due to poor private key management or operational security practices.
Base ETH is required to purchase Base NFTs, but you can use Base Bridge to exchange ETH for Base or withdraw from Base to ETH. You can also transfer your Base ETH to Fiat or back to ETH through Coinbase.
When bridging from Avalanche to Ethereum, a fee of 0.1% of the bridged amount will apply, subject to a minimum fee of $12 and a maximum fee of $1,000. For example: a $25,000 transaction would result in a fee of $25,000 x . 001 = $25.
You can use a bridge to transfer some ETH, USDC, or other tokens from Ethereum to Polygon — retaining their value — and start to use them with dapps on Polygon.
Expect To Wait 1 to 5 Minutes To Transfer Ethereum
The average transaction time depends on the number of confirmations needed. An Ethereum network confirmation completes in 16 seconds and depending on the required confirmations, transactions can take between 1 to 5 minutes.
Ethereum 2.0 can process 100,000 transactions per second (TPS): The only thing the Merge changed about transaction speed is that the average block time drops to 12 seconds from 13–14 seconds.
