Activation of eSIM from self-care process through SMS is very easy and can be done at your convenience from home anytime.
- Type GETESIM<32-digit EID><15-digit IMEI> and send it to 199 from the Jio number you wish to activate eSIM on.
- To give your consent, type ‘1’ and send the SMS to 199. With that, you'll receive the eSIM profile and a QR code via SMS and email respectively.
- Within 10 minutes, you will receive an IVR call from +91 2235072222 on your Jio number.
- Just press ‘1’ to give your consent on the call.
- After that, wait for 2 hours while we process your eSIM request.
You are not required to submit any documents. Just SMS your device EID and IMEI number to 199.
Yes, apart from an eSIM compatible device, it is mandatory to have your email ID updated in your account as we’ll be sharing information for the eSIM profile.
