The obverse of each 1 Peso features Mexico’s coat of arms: an eagle grasping a snake in its talons and beak, standing atop a prickly pear cactus. It is engraved with the words “ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS,” along with 0.720. Each coin has a diameter of 34mm.
The reverse of each Mexican 1 Peso features the Phrygian cap surrounded by rays, the age-old symbol of freedom used on many American coins. Directly beneath the rays is the letter M, for the Mexico City Mint, along with the words “UN PESO” and the date. The edge is bears the phrase “INDEPENDENCIA Y LIBERTAD,” which means independence and liberty.

La Casa de Moneda de Mxico is the oldest mint to open on the American continents. Established by viceroy Antonio de Mendoza of Spain in 1535, the mint was mandated by King Charles I, who was eager to open the first New World mint. For the next four centuries, silver eight-reales and pesos circulated widely across the Americas and into Asia.
By 1918, the weight and fineness all silver Mexican coins had decreased, and two years later, the government began to release this silver 1 peso coin. It was issued until 1945. Today, all Mexican coins are produced in San Luis Potos, though the mint is headquartered at the Museo Nacional de las Culturas in Mexico City.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
When will my order ship?
Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
Can I choose the method of shipping?
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
Will I need to sign for my package?
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
