Yes, they can. It just happened to me a couple days ago, and I am angry about this one. Buyer opened item not received case ( I would have donthe same ), buyer was given IMMEDIATE, hassle-free full refund, and I was reward with neg FB and low DSR. I sent the buyer a FB revision request and her reply was " I did not ant a refund, I wanted the item," Many buyers will leave positive FB when a problem is solved quickly and effortlessly, but not this one. Item was shipped promptly as usual, but PO never scanned and never delivered. It happens. She got her money back, but was still angry and out to leave a neg. Ebay would not remove the neg either.
I am sorry, you may have to suck this one up . Does not feel good, I know.

I'm curious why you said the buyer was lucky to get a refund in your fb reply? Any seller would have to refund if the tracking doesn't show delivered.

Yes, I know a seller would have to refund. No reason, I was just suprised by a neg after an immediate refund ( ie, I did not ask her to wait a couple/few days to see if it turned, check with her PO, or even send it back if it is ever delivered).. A neg would have been warranted had I refused or delayed a refund. I did neither. She was still unhappy. I have blocked her and she can buy her products elsewhere.

You might want to take a deep breath before replying to negs as you have on two occasions or you will be the one looking elsewhere to sell your items. ALL sellers would have to refund - there was nothing fortunate in the buyer getting a refund on an INR. Calling buyers names is over the top and does nothing but make buyers hit the back button - and leave negs and all 1s.

You can have that last neg removed based on the new and old policies....
They mentioned the case, and if you refunded the buyer and the case closed in your favor... either qualify for removal.

Check all the new feedback polices before leave replies... a very large chunk of these can now be removed making no reply necessary....

The policy about saying investigation or case isn't new; and the buyer had to file a case to get a refund when the *asty* seller should have simply given a refund. The only new part is that if a seller "wins" a case, a neg can be removed.

For some, getting a refund doesn't make it a positive experience. Perhaps they really wanted the item and it's hard to find. Perhaps they passed up other auctions in order to bid on yours instead.
I generally leave no feedback in these cases. But that doesn't mean everyone else must do the same.

A refund doesn't always resolve the problems in a transaction. It just keeps them from getting worse.

I agree with this. Your replies makes you look entitled and childish. You should stop replying until you can handle it professionally. Your comments hurt you much worse than the negs.

I'm wondering why a replacement product was not offered. If you did not have one in stock, did you explain that to the buyer or did you simply refund and be done with it? Now, none of this excuses your poor responses to feedback, but you really should take a bit more time and think about what you're doing because the consequences could end up not being pretty for you.
