Can I add my prepaid Visa card to a digital wallet like Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay?

Our prepaid Visa cards are compatible with digital wallets, which generally means the card is usable with Apple Pay, Google Wallet (and Google Pay), and Samsung Pay. However, sometimes the card issuer will still block prepaid cards being added to these digital wallet apps due to their fraud policies.
Often the card issuer seems to block adding to wallet apps based on user location, VPN use, or a mismatch between the name/address you use for the card versus the name/address already registered with your digital wallet. Additionally, your attempt to add a card may be blocked if you have already added multiple cards to the same digital wallet within a short period (eg, 3 cards in 7 days).
Unfortunately, as this relates to their digital wallet policies, there is nothing we can do to make them accept the card. This is also why we cannot guarantee if a card can be added to a digital wallet. However, you have a few options:
If you have already added multiple cards during the past week, then waiting until 7 days have passed before adding your next card will often work.
Additionally, if you have a VPN on, try turning that off before loading the card into your digital wallet. This may work if it was being blocked due to VPN use, or if you had a location selected that is more likely to lead to a card being denied by the card issuer.
It's also best if you use a name/address for the card that is the same as the name/address already used with your digital wallet. Similarly, some users have had better success when removing all existing Billing & Shipping Address information from their digital wallet settings before adding the card (this reportedly works best for Apple Pay issues).
If you are having trouble adding the card to Google Wallet in particular, then these steps have worked for many users:
Log in to https://pay.google.com on a Desktop browser.
Remove the card from your mobile wallet app, then re-add it via the Desktop browser.
Use the mobile wallet app to enable tap-to-pay on the card.
If you're still unable to load the card into the digital wallet, then it is worth trying with a different wallet app, device, and/or internet connection. Additionally, if you're in a location that accepts RappiPay (eg, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, and Uruguay) then you should try that wallet, as most users report success with it.
If all else fails, you can still use the prepaid card for online transactions or even directly with a merchant who can manually enter your card details into their PoS (point of sale).
