Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants (CAPI) provides cash to certain aged, blind and disabled legal non-citizens ineligible for Supplemental Security Income/State Supplemental Payment (SSI/SSP) due to their immigration status. CAPI participants may also be eligible for Medi-Cal, In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS)and/or CalFresh. Benefits
CAPI payment amounts vary depending on a person's marital status, living arrangements and other income. CAPI payment standards are equivalent to the amount of SSI/SSSP payment standards.Information about California SSI/SSP eligibility can be obtained by calling the Social Security Administration at 1-800-772-1213 or by contacting your local Social Security Administration office.
Filing An Application
Orange County accepts and forwards CAPI applications to Sacramento County for processing.
