How to get Mewtwo in Fire Red? ›

Travel north to Route 24 and use a Pokémon to Surf to the entrance. Inside the cave, you will need to navigate the maze to the bottom floor. Make sure your Pokémon team is at a high level; there are a lot of strong Pokémon here (levels 46-70). At the end, you will see Mewtwo.

All you need to do is take the elevator up to the fifth floor (you'll need to go the warp spot, then head back to 5F to get to it) and grab the Card Key in the narrow corridor in the southern part of the room. Now you can open every locked door in the building, so you don't need to try and warp around too much.

Enter the Rock Tunnel and use Flash. Follow the paths to climb all 3 ladders in the tunnel and exit the cave on the southern wall. Go to Lavender Town in the south, then head west on Route 8. Enter the building north of the Saffron City gates and train on Route 7 to get to Celadon City.

You need a key to get to the boss, so do that first. To get it, follow the stairs down to the northwestern corner of the fourth basem*nt level. Beat the trainer there to get the Lift Key.

Trading for Mew is the only legitimate way to obtain a Mew in FireRed anymore. Mew is an Event Pokémon, and was only available during a single event in 2006. There is a glitch that people claim will work to find Mew, but this only works in the original Pokémon games. It does not work in Fire Red.

Through a glitch, it is possible to capture Mew in all three games. There are two ways to catch it, and you'll need different abilities for each technique.

The Silph scope is a scope created by Silph Co., and is said that you can see ghosts when wearing it. It is obtained when you beat Giovanni, the leader of Team Rocket, the first time in Rocket Hideout, which is in Celadon City in Kanto.

Generally, Lapras is the stronger of the two Pokemon; it has far better defenses and HP, and better access to moves. If you are considering removing one of those two from your team, I suggest replacing Seadra with Snorlax; it may be slow, but it's ridiculously tough and it hits like a truck.

Can you get Eevee in Celadon City? ›

In Celadon City, you can go out through a gap in the trees on the north side of the city, which gives you a way to enter the Celadon Mansion from the back. On the top floor, there is a room with an Eevee in a Poké ball on a table. If you want more Eevees you must breed it with a Ditto at the day care on Four Island.

Tip: How to Win the Celadon City Slot Machines

To win big, play each machine 4 times, and if it hits 2 or more, then stick with that one, because it's probably hot. If the slow machine forces you really close to a 777 or Bar Bar Bar it will probably give you one or the other soon.

The sole purpose of the Pokémon Mansion is to hide the key you need to get into the Cinnabar Island Gym. The quickest way to get it is to run straight into the mansion and take the first stairway up. Then, move to the northwest corner and take the stairs up to the third floor. Examine the statue you see to the right.

In the travellator maze: take the first, top right travellator down into the maze, and it's on your right. Enter the maze from the top left, and it's on the left hand side. On this lower floor, you'll find a couple of items and then another Grunt guarding an item on a desk - it's the Lift Key!

It may be more difficult in the DS games, but in FireRed, back in the day, I caught him with an ordinary Pokeball. It was actually easier to catch than Zapdos and Moltres. probaly the best way is to stock up on ultra balls,master balls (if u have goten or havent used it already),and dusk balls.

Locations: Unlike Mew, you can catch Mewtwo in all three Game Boy Pokemon titles. It's located at the end of the Unkown Dungeon (which you can access from Cerulean City once you have beaten the game). Simply go north from Cerulean City to Route 24, then use Surf to swim south to get to the cave entrance.

Easiest way I found was to go to the route above Vermillion City and use a max repel. Run through the grass for about 15-20 seconds and if nothing happens, leave the route and go inside a building and try again. It will show up in no time.
