A RESILIENT PHILOSOPHY
Prioritizing Well-Being Through Flexible Work
When Roberta Samson found Chainalysis on Built In’s job search platform, she knew it was the perfect fit — a company engaged with the modern work movement, adapting to current social, technical and economic conditions. What she found there was an environment that fostered personal growth, self-identity and safe collaboration, no matter the career stage. Part of that open work culture is defined by Chainalysis’s remote-flexible policy. In establishing a flexible workspace, the company wants to alleviate personal and professional burdens for employees during times of mental and economic stress.

Work can induce stress and aggravate mental health conditions, but we have recently discovered how flexible work arrangements can support one’s mental well-being as well.
INDIVIDUAL POTENTIAL, FLEXIBLE
A Strong Work Culture Built On Differences
Patrick Stephen
Staff Software Engineer
Patrick Stephen is used to working with engineers of varying expertise and backgrounds. But Chainalysis was the first place where he’s seen a company make optimal use out of such heterogeneity. “It’s important to understand the specific impact that each individual can have and utilize their skills accordingly,” he said. The ability to draw out individual potential stems from its remote work policy, allowing employees to thrive where they work best. Though it’s not without its challenges, the company is committed to the hybrid model — with employee well-being and engagement in mind.
When an organization has a strong team culture, everyone feels safe in voicing their perspectives, taking risks and embracing new ideas.
BACKBONE OF VALUES
Leadership Through Lived Values
Jaclyn Mack wasn’t interested in working for a Web3 company at first. But after speaking with founders Jonathan Levin and Michael Gronager, she was all in. Moved by the care they had for their employees, she wanted to help strengthen that culture of intentionality. Early on, Mack helped define what she described as “the backbone upon which employees make decisions.” Whether it’s personal accountability or being open to other opinions, everyone at Chainalysis tries to “earn the right” — reiterating these founding principles even when scaling, and referencing them in every new project.
