If your bank statement has a charge from Stripe that you don't recognize, it may be from a business using Stripe's payment processing services. Use Stripe's secure charge lookup tool to identify the business. Contact the business directly or reach out to your bank if you need a refund or suspect fraudulent activity.
Stripe is a payments processor that works with businesses to help them accept payments through their websites, apps, and in store. If you see a charge from “STRIPE” on your credit card statement, it’s likely you purchased something from a business that uses our services and the business name is just not reflected in the bank statement descriptor. If you don't recognize the business name or want a refund, reach out to the business directly. Stripe is unable to issue refunds on their behalf.
If you are unable to get in touch with the business, they are unresponsive, or you believe the business might be fraudulent, reach out to your banks. They may have recommendations for how to proceed, such as opening a dispute.
