CI, consecutive interpreting, refers to the mode in which the speaker and the interpreter take turns in speaking, while SI, simultaneous interpreting refers to the mode in which the interpreter uses a tranmitter to transmit the interpreted messages to receivers worn by the audience, when the speaker speaks uninterrupted while the interpreter continously interpret the spkeaker's messages.
