To reboot your internet connection:

First, unplug the power cord (thin black cord) for your modem. Then remove the phone cord from the back of the modem. Once this is done, wait approximately 30 seconds then plug the phone cord back into the modem.

Comporium internet services do not have any data caps. However, if a subscriber's high bandwidth usage impacts other subscribers in that area, Comporium reserves the right to engage the customer to minimize the disruption to others.

Many NC and SC addresses can access Comporium's cable plans, ranging in download speed from 100 megabits per second up to 1,000Mbps. Select households may also be serviceable for Comporium's fiber network, which comes with symmetrical speeds up to 5,000Mbps.

Sometimes a Google Fiber device gets into a state that requires you to restart (also known as "power cycle") or perform a a factory reset. For example, your Fiber Jack, router, or Mesh Extender may have trouble coming back online after an outage or getting interrupted during a software update.

There could be a number of factors that affect your internet connection. First, and most likely, is issues with your equipment. Restarting your modem/router will often resolve the issue. Other reasons why your internet may keep going out include inadequate speeds, network congestion and inclement weather.

Sometimes your cable modem and router need a reboot/restart. See if this fixes the connection issues. Check your Ethernet cables. If you have a spare Ethernet cable, test it out to make sure there isn't a problem with the physical wire connection.

While some people use the two words interchangeably, they are not the same thing. A modem brings internet service into the home from internet service providers (ISPs), while a router delivers that internet connection to the devices in your home, allowing them to connect wirelessly via WiFi or through Ethernet cables.
