Back in January, I wrote an article (https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/microsoft-365-copilot-verses-everything-zewei-song-vxx2c/ -- it seems like a long time ago) where I compared Copilot for M365 with some of the popular GenAI products, such as Copilot Pro. The comparison table is outdated already; so, I have the updated version here...
Now, both BCE (Bing Chat Enterprise or Copilot with commercial data protection) and Copilot Pro have the capabilities to take advantage of plug-ins, although they are not the same type of plug-ins that you can use for Copilot for Microsoft 365.
One more update to Copilot for Microsoft 365: as this post Introducing Copilot in Microsoft Stream - Microsoft Community Hub says, Copilot for 365 will be able to handle audio and video recordings of meetings soon, so I put an asterisk beside its ability to work with multimedia data.
Now to the main point of this article: a side-by-side comparison of Copilot Pro and Copilot for Microsoft 365. I will group the similarities and differences into 3 categories:
What both can do…

What Copilot for M365 can do but Copilot Pro cannot…
What Copilot Pro can do but Copilot for Microsoft 365 cannot…
One thing I noticed while using Copilot Pro is that although you can connect your Outlook to non-Microsoft email accounts, such as gmail.com, but Copilot Pro only work with Microsoft emails. That is, to take advantages of embedded Copilot capabilities you must use an email account provided by Microsoft, like Hotmail.com, Outlook.com, live.com, etc.
Also, I noticed a significant performance increase switching from Copilot (Bing Chat) to Copilot Pro.
Happy Easter everyone!

Thanks for the comparison table update. I hadn’t heard of the upcoming Stream piece. That sounds useful!
