Ben Caballero isn’t slowing down. After landing in the Guinness book three times in his 62-year real estate career, he has achieved a new record.

You want to talk productive? An 83-year-old Dallas real estate agent sold an average of more than 19 homes per day last year, beating his existing world record for home sales.
Ben Caballero already holds the most recent Guinness World Record title for "annual home sales transactions through MLSs by an individual sell-side agent," an achievement he reached in 2020 with 6,438 home sales, following two prior Guinness World Records in 2016 and 2018.
But he blew that number out of the water last year, individually selling 7,012 homes totaling $3.6 billion in 2023, according to MLS data.
Don't beat yourself up for not coming close to his production, though. Those seemingly preposterous numbers are possible because Caballero, CEO and founder of HomesUSA.com, isn't hustling to find individual sellers ready to move. He is the sole listing agent for more than 60 builders in Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin and San Antonio.
That helped him make an average of nearly $10 million in home sales every day.
"I have been blessed for more than six decades to work in the best business in the greatest state in the world," said Caballero.
A Realtor since age 21, Caballero was a home builder for 18 years. He is also a U.S. Air Force veteran and second-generation Cuban American, originally from Tampa, Florida, where his parents were both real estate brokers.
Caballero moved to Dallas in 1960, a move he says made his record-breaking career possible.
"Texas is the best market for new homes in the U.S. year-in and year-out," he said. "Clearly, becoming a Texan is one of the best decisions I ever made."
Caballero first made the record book in 2016 with 3,556 verified home sales. He set a new world record in 2018 with 5,801 home sales.
In 2022, he was also the first agent in history to pass $3 billion in sales. And back in 2015, he was the first individual agent to reach $1 billion in annual sales, followed by another first in 2018, when he hit $2 billion.
Cave drawing records aren't complete — so no one knows for sure — but Caballero is believed to have sold more homes than any other real estate agent in history. From 2004 to 2023, he sold 61,126 homes, with a total transaction volume of nearly $24 billion.
