How do I delete Google auto backup photos? ›

You can delete up to 1,500 photos and videos from your Google Photos library or your camera roll at a time. Important: Deleting photos and videos from the Google Photos app deletes the same items from your device.

You can use Google Photos to save space on your device when you delete photos that are safely backed up. Before you use this feature, you must ensure that you've already backed up your photos properly. Learn how to back up photos.

You can uninstall the "Google Photos Backup" from your device or simply sign out from the account in the Photos app. Then go to the web-version of Google Photos (photos.google.com) and delete the photos. Go to photos.google.com and login using the Google account you're using on your device.
