Does Discord use Authy? ›

Log in to your Discord account, and click on the small “gear” icon near your username on the bottom left. A pop-up window will appear for you to scan the QR Code with your Authy app. Keep this window open as you reach for your phone.

I forgot to download my codes!

Head into your User Settings > My Account. Select View Backup Codes to see your codes (and which one's you've used) as well as get the option to download them.

The Authy Desktop app for Linux, MacOS and Windows reached their End-of-Life on March 19, 2024 and are no longer supported.

Note: If you do not have access to your backup codes, Discord is unable to remove 2FA and you will have to create a new account. Discord cannot remove 2FA or issue you new backup codes. Was this article helpful?

Twilio has confirmed that an unsecured API endpoint allowed threat actors to verify the phone numbers of millions of Authy multi-factor authentication users, potentially making them vulnerable to SMS phishing and SIM swapping attacks.

There are three steps to activate two-factor authentication in Discord: Download Authy or the Google Authenticator from your device's respective app store (A). Scan the QR code using your mobile device's camera or type the 2FA key manually (B). Input the 6-digit code and click the Activate button (C).

If you can't restore the authenticator, then you'll have to attempt account recovery of each of the configured accounts. If you saved the site-specific backup codes this will be no problem. If you didn't, you'll have to contact the site about their account recovery process when the authenticator has been lost.

If you've enabled two-factor authentication, you'll need to know your six-digit discord delete server auth code in order to get it done. You can find this by opening the Authy or Google Authenticator app on your mobile device.

Invalid phone number: the phone number was not entered correctly or is unusable. Be sure to use a valid phone number. VOIP, Burner, or Landline numbers cannot be used. Then, try re-entering the phone number you wish to verify.

It does not allow data to be exported. It can delete your TOTP from sites that use Authy integration (e.g., Twitch). It no longer has a Desktop app.

Your mobile device may not support Authy or Google Authenticator. Please try another device or contact us for further assistance. My Authy or Google Authenticator App won't scan the barcode. Try restarting your mobile device and begin again.

❝ Unfortunately, we aren't able to remove two-factor authentication from accounts due to security reasons, and the only way you'll be able to regain access is if you saved the backup codes from inside Discord when you initially set up the two-factor authentication.

Go to the Users page by mousing over "Settings" and selecting "Users." Identify the appropriate user's name in the list. If a lock icon appears to the right of their name, the user has enabled 2FA. If there is no lock icon, the user has not enabled 2FA.

Go to User Settings. Step 3. Under My Account, click View Backup Codes. Ten backup codes are available to you.
