What is the difference between D&D gel polish and lacquer? ›

Unlike regular nail lacquer that dries naturally, gel polish needs to be cured with an LED or UV lamp. It will not dry on its own. You will be sitting there FOREVER waiting for your nails to dry.

The short answer? No—you shouldn't.

Although similar in application, gel and lacquer are different mediums. Gel polish is placed under a lamp to help build a strong, sturdy material, while lacquer is a quick-drying air-dried nail polish. Lacquers are convenient for those who dislike the lengthy removal process of cured mediums like gel polish.

In the DND due's you will receive not only a nail polish but a gel polish as well, both these polishes will give off the same shade on your nails, however the regular nail polish will give off a brilliant fully coverage colour with top quality pigment, so you don't have to worry about a light opaque shade from now on.

They are both very similar. I personally like the D&D tie the knot better. because it's a little bit more softer. and cheer.

Take an Ice Bath

Allow your nails to dry for five to 10 minutes after applying the last coat of gel, then ice your nails. Fill a bowl with cool water and a few ice cubes. Place your nails into the ice bath, making sure the water completely covers your nails. Keep your nails in the water for three to four minutes.

First, wash and prep your nails to remove any dirt, oil, or excess off of your nail beds. Next, apply 1-2 coats of DND or DC Base Gel and cure under a UV/LED lamp for 30-45 seconds. Then apply the first thin layer of gel color. Follow up by curing under a UV/LED lamp for 30-60 seconds.

Why is my DND gel polish peeling off? ›
