Is Dolly Parton Imagination Library available in California? ›

The Imagination Library of California gifts high quality, age-appropriate books every month to children from birth until the child turns five. There is no cost to families and books are available in English or in bilingual English/Spanish. Enroll today!

Imagination Library books are specially selected age-appropriate, high-quality titles. These books are delivered to registered children each month from birth to age five. Each one is personalized with the child's name and mailed directly to the child's home.

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by gifting books free of charge to children from birth to age five, through funding shared by Dolly Parton and local community partners in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia and Republic of Ireland.

Depending on when you register your child, it may take up to eight to twelve weeks for the first book to arrive. After that, the books will come every month. For example, if you registered your child on January 6th and were approved by your local affiliate in January, you would receive your first book in March.

The sweet and rustic three-bedroom, 2.5-bath abode is located in the San Jacinto mountains in Idyllwild, CA. The home was built in 1966. Parton has owned this three-story cottage on a quarter-acre for decades.

How secure is the information provided to Imagination Library? Both the Door County Partnership for Children & Families and Dolly Parton's Imagination Library take information security very seriously. We will not share it or use it for any purpose other than this service.

We mail out books by age group. Every child born in the same year receives the same books, appropriate for their age. Twins will receive the exact book each month. However, because the books are addressed to each child, they will both have built their own library of quality books when they graduate from the programs.
