To export data from a chart

Solution: Simply right-click the chart area that has the market data and, at the bottom of the menu, click “Export to Excel.” Or, click the chart window and then use the keyboard shortcut “Ctrl+Alt+E.” An Excel spreadsheet automatically opens populated with the values.

In Microsoft Excel, you can retrieve data from a chart even when the data is in an external worksheet or workbook. This is useful in situations where the chart was created from, or linked to, another file that is unavailable or has been damaged in some way.

Select the rows or table you want to convert to text. On the Layout tab, in the Data section, click Convert to Text. In the Convert to Text box, under Separate text with, click the separator character you want to use in place of the column boundaries.

To copy a chart to another worksheet in the same or a different workbook, right-click the chart and click Copy.

Go to File > Save As. The Save As dialog box appears. In the Save as type box, choose the text file format for the worksheet. For example, click Text (Tab delimited) or CSV (Comma delimited).

Create or open an existing worksheet in Excel for the web. Select File > Export > Download this sheet as CSV (. csv).

Open your spreadsheet in Excel. Click File → Save As. Under Save as type box, choose CSV UTF-8 or CSV (Comma delimited). Click Save.

Select the cells or range of data you want to extract. Copy the selected data (Ctrl + C on Windows, Command + C on Mac). Paste the data into your desired application (e.g., another Excel file, Word document, or text editor) using Ctrl + V (Windows) or Command + V (Mac).

Export to an Excel workbook

From the command bar of the list, select Export > Export to Excel. Important: The Export options are available only when list items are not selected. Depending on your browser, you can save and open, or open the file directly.

Right-click the chart, and then choose Select Data. The Select Data Source dialog box appears on the worksheet that contains the source data for the chart. Leaving the dialog box open, click in the worksheet, and then click and drag to select all the data you want to use for the chart, including the new data series.
