When I bought them it didn’t seem to be a problem with it- apart from noise in right AirPods when changing to contact mode, it paired instantly. (Serial number is ok, case has last numbers as serial number, left airpod model is a2084 and right is a2083) I didn’t use them for about half a year and when I tried to pair them it shows a info that they might be fake, (they have a 3A283 version and I can’t manage to update them) I can use them and they work fine, but how do I get rid of the problem and how can I update them? Do I need to wait a couple days a see if they manage to update themselves if they’re not paired and connected to Bluetooth?

It sounds like you're receiving the "Cannot Verify AirPods" alert, is that correct? This alert is a new feature within iOS 16, and this page has info on that: If you get a 'Cannot Verify AirPods' alert - Apple Support
You can choose to not connect your unverifiedAirPods, or to connectthemin Bluetooth settings. If you connect your unverifiedAirPods, they may not behave as expected.
For more information, contact the place of purchase.
To help verify that your AirPods are genuine,identify your AirPods.
If they do happen to not be genuine AirPods then they may not be able to be updated to the current firmware for AirPods.
As the page above helps to note, you may wish to try reaching out to the point of sale for the AirPods if you have questions regarding them being genuine.

Yes i got this alert And it only connect to Bluetooth, I could paired them when new half a year ago normally but know it just connects to Bluetooth. I went to authorized Apple Store but they just looked at the packaging and said it was fake they didn’t even looked at airpods, I know they were made in China and they can have some different qualities but still- it doesn’t mean they are fake. I identified them, model on left and right airpod and a case seems legit but package is from 03/2021. The thing is everything on a box and the AirPods is the same, serial number/model.

When an Apple Authorized Service Provider or the Apple Store Genius Bar determines the validity of a product, there isn't anything additional which can be done.
As mentioned before, if possible, we'd advise to bring them back to the place of purchase.
If you want to purchase an Apple device again, make sure to purchase from an Apple Authorized Retailer.
