The panel is composed of 525 parents and caregivers in LA County who have children under the age of 8. Families Together includes all caregivers that are directly involved in the raising of a child, including biological, adopted, kinship, and foster families.
In the Families Together panel, 74% of participants identify as Hispanic, Latino or Latinx, 14% as White, 5% as Black or African American, 5% as Asian (not Filipino or Pacific Islander), 5% as American Indian/Alaskan Native, 2% as Filipino, 1% as Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander, and 2% prefer not to say.
More than half of participants have preschool and elementary-aged children, with 53% of participants having children in preschool and 39% of participants having children in elementary school. Almost one-third of panel members are caregivers of toddler aged children (31%), while 18% of participants have infants and 6% of participants were pregnant at the time of joining the panel.
Over 150 unique zip codes from LA County are represented in the panel. More than half of the families (57%) are raising their children with annual household incomes under $60,000.
