When the Google One plan manager shares their storage with their family group, everyone in your family can see how much storage other people are using. You can't see their files and photos (and they can't see yours) unless you choose to share those files with them.

This means you can invite up to 5 other people to join and if they accept your invitation, they'll be added to your family group. Family managers can delete the group, invite, or remove members at any time.

The ideal number of bank accounts depends on your financial habits and needs. You might be happy with just two accounts – checking and savings – or you may want multiple accounts to separate business and personal expenses, share a bank account with a partner or maintain separate accounts for various financial goals.

A minimum of two (2) and maximum of ten (10) family member accounts can be linked and added to a Family ID. All account holders linked under a Family ID are collectively called “Family Members” and accounts held by such Family Members (other than that of the Primary Account Holder) are referred to as “Member Accounts”.

Your child's activity information that we collect may include things like search terms, videos they watch, voice and audio information when they use audio features, people with whom they communicate or share content, and Chrome browsing history they've synced with their Google Account.

Can Family Link Read Text Messages? Unfortunately, Google Family Link cannot directly access your child's text messages. Family Link's core functionality focuses on managing apps, screen time, and location tracking.

When you join a family, your family members can find your name, photo, and email address. They can also find how much shared storage each family member uses. Family members aren't able to find your photos, videos, or other items unless you directly share them.

If the family manager has a Google One membership, they can share Google One with their family group and will also be the plan manager. Note: Each family group only has one family manager.

How does Google family work? ›

You can create a Google account for your child and another for yourself (you likely have one already), then link them up. With the two accounts connected, you can remotely manage your child's smartphone or tablet from your own device. Family Link is primarily built for Android devices but also works on iOS.

Under this program, you can open individual savings account for each of your family members and link them together as a family. If any of your family members already have Axis Bank accounts, you can simply link them under your Family ID and open new accounts for the rest.

Creating or joining a family group doesn't require a paid membership or subscription. A family group allows you and your family group members to get more out of the Google products that you already use. Some Google products require purchasing family plan subscriptions for premium services.

A joint banking account is built on trust. Make sure you have honest—and ongoing—discussions about finances with the partner, family member or friend you share the account with.
