Make sure your iPhone is running iOS 15.5 or higher. To check if your software is up to date, go to Settings > General > Software Update. If you haven't already, set a passcode for your iPhone by going to Settings > Face ID & Passcode. Tap to Pay on iPhone requires a device passcode.

The simplest possibility is that the valve under the sink is closed. This can happen if someone recently worked on the faucet and forgot to turn the water back on. The fixture could also be clogged, dislodged, bent, or broken. The worst-case scenario is that you'll have to replace the faucet, which isn't a big deal.

A blockage in the plumbing pipes may be the reason for your tap problems, even if you find no leaks. The blockage of the water supply is usually caused by sediment buildup. This can be caused by limescale, rust or debris, as well as heavy metal deposits. Call your plumber if you suspect your pipes may be blocked.

The valve may simply not be turned on. Make sure the handle is in the ON position and that power is available. It could also be that the user is not touching the faucet properly. Make sure the touch is not too long or too short — it should be deliberate, like striking a key on a piano.

If you've just received your new debit or credit card, you'll need to activate it before use, usually by entering a Chip & PIN the first time. After activation, it should work smoothly.

To set up Tap to Pay on iPhone, enable it in the payment app of your choice. To accept a payment, open the app, enter the amount, and present your iPhone to your customer. To pay, the customer holds their card horizontally or places their device directly over the payment symbol.

The first time you use your contactless card for a transaction, you'll be asked to use chip and PIN or sign for your purchase. Once you've done that, all future transactions can be contactless. You need to hold your card very close to the reader (around 2 – 4 centimetres) for it to work.
