Why is Astrill VPN not working? ›

Clear disk space and closing background apps may solve the issue. If none of those options work, try trying a different server. If you are an Astrill user, go to Settings > Astrill VPN > Repair.

Astrill supports OpenVPN, WireGuard, and two custom protocols: OpenWeb and StealthVPN. Astrill states that it uses 256-bit AES encryption for OpenVPN, StealthVPN, and OpenWeb. WireGuard does its own thing and uses ChaCha20 for encryption. This is all very secure.

Astrill is privately owned and is incorporated in Liechtenstein. We do not store any information or keep logs because the Astrill VPN Server Network is operated off-shore and there are no laws that obligate us to keep logs on our customers.
