A full day at the Museum allows you to see all of our soaring pavilions and enjoy one of our incredible add-on experiences. Follow different perspectives of the American experience in World War II, from the treacherous islands of the Pacific and the dogged days in Europe to the crucial efforts at home and the postwar impacts.
Get your ticket and head to the L.W. “Pete” Kent Train Car Experience in Louisiana Memorial Pavilion to begin your Museum visit. Register your Dog Tag either on board the train car or at the kiosk after exiting to follow your WWII servicemember’s story at kiosks throughout your Museum experience and online after your visit.
From there, head to The Arsenal of Democracy: The Herman and George R. Brown Salute to the Home Front, which draws on personal narratives and evocative artifacts to highlight facets of WWII-era American life through an experiential narrative.
Journey across the Horatio Alger Association American Spirit Bridge to the immersive Richard C. Adkerson & Freeport-McMoRan Foundation Road to Tokyo: Pacific Theater Galleries and The Duchossois Family Road to Berlin: European Theater Galleries in the state-of-the-art Campaigns of Courage pavilion. These galleries take you through the entire timeline of the war and lead you to our newest exhibition hall, Liberation Pavilion, exploring the end of World War II, the Holocaust, the postwar years, and how the war continues to impact our lives today.
As you leave Liberation Pavilion, you’ll emerge on the top floor of US Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center, the stunning home of six restored WWII planes.

Enhance your visit with one of our incredible immersive experiences:
- Beyond All Boundaries ($11), showing exclusively in The National WWII Museum’s Solomon Victory Theater, is a 4D journey through the war that changed the world. Narrated by executive producer Tom Hanks, this Museum-produced experience features dazzling effects, CGI animation, multilayered environments, and first-person accounts. (48 minutes)
- The Priddy Family Foundation Freedom Theater ($11) offers audiences a multimedia experience focused on what was at stake during World War II, the meaning of Allied victory, and subsequent generations’ responsibility to defend democracy, protect freedom, and advance human rights. At a pivotal moment in the show, the theater audience platform itself rotates. (30 minutes)
- Final Mission: USS Tang Submarine Experience (FREE) places visitors aboard the most successful submarine in World War II for its fifth and final war patrol on October 25, 1944. Guests relive the last epic battle of the USS Tang and feel a deeper appreciation for the bravery and sacrifice of those who served in the intense, confined world of underwater warfare. (15 minutes)
