How to withdraw funds from Newton? ›

Via the app:

At the bottom of the dashboard, navigate to the Transfer icon. 3a. Navigate to the Withdraw tab and select the "withdraw funds" button.

Newton offers low-cost cryptocurrency trading with zero funding or withdrawal fees when using Interac e-Transfer. We charge a fee on each trade made on the platform, this is how we keep the lights on! This fee is charged on both buys and sells, and ranges between 1% - 1.5%, varying coin to coin.

If the network fee is less than or equal to $5 CAD, the network fee will be fully covered by Newton. If the network fee is greater than $5, Newton will cover the first $5. Ex1: $4.98 in network fees - Newton pays the full amount and the withdrawal is free for the customer.

Take Money Out at an ATM

One of the quickest ways to withdraw money from a savings account is at an ATM. Depending on your bank, you can use your physical debit card or mobile wallet to access the funds in your account. Keep in mind there may be fees to take out money from a savings account at an out-of-network ATM.

To withdraw money from mutual funds, you can either complete and submit a withdrawal request form for offline processing, which your broker will forward to the Asset Management Company (AMC), or you can redeem your funds online.

Use an ATM

Every ATM is slightly different but you simply insert your debit card, enter your PIN (personal identification number), select the account you wish to withdraw money from (if you have more than one), enter the amount, and then wait for the ATM to give you your cash and a receipt.

Fill Out a Withdrawal Slip

Be sure to fill in the date, the name on the account, and the account number. If you don't know where to find the checking account number, a teller will be able to look it up with your ID and/or debit card. Then enter the amount of cash you wish to receive.
