How to calculate hash rate? ›

Typical Hash Rate Measurements

Hash rate is measured by the number of hashes (or guesses) per second on a blockchain network. The larger the blockchain network, the higher the hash rate. Hash rate is typically measured in how many hashes per second are being generated.

1 GH/s is equal to 1,000,000,000 hashes per second where as 1 TH/s is 1,000,000,000,000 hashes per second or 1,000 times more.

1 kH/s (Kilohash) is 1,000 H/s (Hashes). 1 MH/s (Megahash) is 1,000,000 H/s. 1 GH/s (Gigahash) is 1,000,000,000 H/s.

To convert a measurement in gigahenries to a measurement in megahenries, multiply the electrical inductance by the following conversion ratio: 1,000 megahenries/gigahenry. The electrical inductance in megahenries is equal to the electrical inductance in gigahenries multiplied by 1,000.

Carbonate hardness (KH) is often confused with General hardness (GH). KH measures carbonate hardness (CO3 and HCO3 anions). Whereas GH measures divalent cations such as Calcium and Magnesium (Ca and Mg cations). You can have a high GH and low KH or vice versa; either reading can be raised without changing the other.
