    In 2023, across all states in the United States, Utah was ranked as the healthiest state for older adults aged 65 years and above, followed by New Hampshire and Colorado. On the other hand, Mississippi was the unhealthiest state for older adults in the United States, ranking last on the list. The U.S. state rankings for senior citizens were created using 35 metrics from five different areas of health — social and economic issues, environmental factors, behavioral factors, clinical treatment, and health outcomes.
