Hey i am new to clep-ing and was wondering what happens if i fail?
-is it bad for my transcript?
-will my college find out?
-should i fill out which college to send my mark to??

Before you start the exam it will ask you if you want this to be sent to a college. If you choose not to send it it will charge you a small fee when you decide to enroll and have the college board send a transcript to your college.
CLEPs are not graded they are only Pass/Fail. If you do fail you will have to wait 6 Months before you can retake the exam. Your old score will be erased and your new score put in its place. If you don't send your score to a college they probably will never know. (I am not sure on this point but I think that is what would happen)

Sorry but I don't know that answer. I know that some schools will let you remove things from your transcript, and if you retake the test I don't know if it would say your first score and then your second score.

Schools only grant CLEP credit for a passing score. If your score isn't at the minimum pass level, the college will ignore it. So don't worry about failing a CLEP - it won't appear on your college transcript.
If you're not yet enrolled at a college, you can still take as many CLEP exams as you like. When you do enroll, order a transcript from CollegeBoard and have it sent to that college. The transcript is $20 and will list scores from all the CLEP exams you've taken in the last twenty years. If you're really concerned about what the college sees, rest assured that you can ask CollegeBoard to only send scores for certain exams, or only send scores of 50 or higher.

First thing...relax. You'll do fine!
I recommend people wait to enroll in college until they are about 9 months to graduation. It saves you money. This also means that CLEP / DSST are keeping your scores. When it comes time to send the transcript only send the passing grades.
If you are already enrolled and sending the scores directly to the school, it depends on the college. Excelsior allows you to retake exams. The old exam goes away and is not part of your record.
