Get ready, because Hilary Duff is about to drop some new music! After a decade away from the studio, she's teasing a comeback that has fans buzzing. Speaking at Vogue World: Hollywood 2025, Duff shared the exciting news: "We’re getting something really soon." She's been hard at work with her husband, Matthew Koma, and other talented collaborators, promising fans a musical treat "in the blink of an eye."
But here's where it gets interesting... Duff's last studio album, Breathe In. Breathe Out., was released in June 2015. She always knew she'd return to music, but needed the right conditions. She explained, "I needed to feel safe and I needed to have the right people in my corner and be absolutely 100% ready. Honestly, I needed to have 10 years of life under my belt. I needed a lot to say." This new album, she says, is like "the inner workings of my brain," and she's eager to connect with fans on a deeper level.
In September, Duff signed with Atlantic Records, and simultaneously announced a docuseries documenting her musical and personal journey. The docuseries will be directed and executive-produced by Sam Wrench, known for his work on projects like "A Nonsense Christmas With Sabrina Carpenter" and "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour."
When asked about performance plans, Duff remained tight-lipped, but hinted at exciting things to come. "All of the things are happening," she said, "I can’t give up too much information or everyone’s gonna kill me, but I am dancing and… everything’s in motion. It’s exciting."
And this is the part most people miss... Duff's connection with her LGBTQ+ fans is clearly something she cherishes. When asked if her gay fans are excited, she smiled and said, "You know it’s all for them. It’s just to impress them."
Just over a week before, Duff stunned at the Academy Museum Gala in a purple Alberta Ferretti gown. She humorously recalled the contrast between the glamorous event and her daughter's 7th birthday party on a farm that very morning. It's a testament to her ability to balance her personal and professional life.
