Please ensure that your choice of mobile application for MFA (e.g., Duo) is downloaded before commencing the process of activating MFA.
Only download Duo and other reputable MFA applications (e.g., Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator) from official sources like Google Play and the Apple App Store, or the Duo website. Do not use third-party applications, or a QR code-scanning application, during setup.
You will never be requested to pay for MFA – if you encounter a payment request in a third-party application, please exit immediately without proceeding.
You can now use your registered device when logging in to UQ websites and systems that require MFA. You will be prompted whenever this is necessary.
