And now for something completely different as the Year 2023 comes to a close.
I've been there. And after all the years I am so tired of this...
Windows 11 is the absolute worst operating system that Microsoft has ever published. It has even tarnished the historical 'odd' rule pattern that typically follows that every 'odd numbered/year Microsoft operating system' is usually excellent. Among some: Windows 1.0, Windows 3.1; Windows 95, Windows NT (all versions), Windows 2000 (although even numbered, maybe since a leap year), Windows XP, and Windows 7: The last known good OS.
Atop the piece-of-sh*t list: Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows Vista, Windows 8, and Windows 10 (although notably better than what we have now). Yet... while it's true to say Windows 11 sucks more than all of those combined, the statement is a fallacy because Windows 11, at best, is useless, it 'grey-screen' malfunctions most of the time, and thus serves as a non-operational Operating System. Thus to compare with all the other horrible operating systems is futile, because Windows 11 is so unstable and unusable it can't even suck. It doesn't even BSOD well.
As for Microsoft support: Typical response - as if they have to protect us from our inability to critically think. Stop treating us like technical idiots and spare us the 'security' lecture... really, no sh*t!?! We know how to secure our computers, and we are fully aware of how to protect them while accessing them easily. In spite of those efforts, large organizations dig in and collect, at will, ALL of our personal information. Because we are forced to agree to a EULA.
Howbout' this: Microsoft agrees to a OEMLA, and please, just answer the damn question, and fix this Windows 11 sh*t OS.
The good news out of all of this is, at least, most of us are gainfully employed because Windows 11 has to be fixed or repaired continuously.
Windows 11 should be renamed Windows Zero.
